We had a fantastic weekend at this very special house. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you could ever need- from heated towel rails, three dishwashers, several ensuites, gas bbq- the list is endless . We had young children in our party and the owner was very helpful and provided a couple of cots and highchair. The annex was very useful as a separate space when the adults wanted to chat into the small hours of the night! The house accommodated a large party very well and there were large dining tables both inside and outside. The Norfolk coast is beautiful- We had trips to Holkham beach and The Victoria pub, ate fish and chips in Wells-Next-the Sea and went on a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point. It was hard to say goodbye and we would love to return for a future stay. |

We stayed at Scaldbeck House on possibly the warmest weekend of the year in August - and we couldn't believe our luck. It is a truly stunning house, with ample parking and free roaming grounds. We were a large group of eight friends and had free run of half of the property, including the annex / games room. The bedrooms were not only very tastefully and considerately decorated, but were perfectly appointed with all mod-cons you could ever think of (including amazing bed linen and the fluffiest towels!). The owner has really thought of everything and there was nothing we would change about the property, there is even the flexibility to divide it into two, meaning you can hire half or the whole property. The owner went above and beyond the call of duty to really make sure we felt at home. He even got to the property early to take in our Sainsbury's food delivery early as we were caught up in traffic on the way from London! I would highly recommend the property to friends, it's perfect if you are looking for a get-away with a large group of friends or family. We will definitely be back! Response: Thank you for your kind words - we are delighted you enjoyed this brilliant location, and our house too! |
