The village Post Office for almost 100 years, the property has newly been re modelled as a studio apartment for couples.

Conveniently situated on the shore road, with views from the large front window to Loch Long, and the Clyde Estuary, which is often busy with maritime traffic including submarines, merchant ships and cruise liners.

The space has been designed to provide comfortable accommodation for a relaxing holiday.

To the front is the bright and airy living / sleeping area.Furniture includes 2 reclining swivel easy chairs, a wooden dining table,a wardrobe,a double bed with comfortable SIlent Nightmattress and quality Sanderson bedding.

Additionally there is a wall mounted Dimplex Optiflame fire, wall mounted 32" flat screen Smart TV, free Netflix, free WIFI.

To the rear of the property is the kitchen, and shower room with double shower, toilet, basin,heated towel rail and recess for storage.

The kitchen has a sink, worktop space and ample cupboards.Electrical goods include ceramic hob with extractor,and single fan oven below, toaster, kettle, microwave oven with grill, and dishwasher. The fridge / freezer is under the counter, with a smaller fridge section to give more freezer space than the usual'Icebox'.

Heating in the studio is via electric panel heaters, a heated towel rail, and the Optiflame fire.

There is a door to the front,with storm porch for storage of coats and footwear. The door from the kitchen opens into the internal passageway, suitable for safe storage of bikes or fishing rods for example.A door to the back yard gives access to the outbuildings which house the washing machine and tumble drier.

We believe in offering great value, we own the Gallery / Coffee shop 2 doors down, rated 4* by Visit Scotland, and when open, guests are welcome to a free daily Latte', Cappuccino, tea or cold drink with our compliments.

Within the village is the Victorian Pier, great for fishing, and a wee Church bric a brac shop, as well as the Gallery / Fairtrade coffee shop we own. On the edge of the village is Quadmania, who offer a variety of outdoor activities including Quad biking and archery. Lots of walks into the hills or along the shore start right outside the front door, and Dunoon is a few miles away.

The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park was Scotland's first National Park and comprises 720 square miles of beautiful mountains, glens, lochs &tweet islands to explore.

The seaside town of Dunoon is nearby, with places such as Oban, Loch Lomond and Inveraray within easy reach. Throughout the year there are Highland games, walking festivals, artists open studios, open garden events, and boat excursions to make those days out very special.

And when you want to relax,Blairmore is ideally located within the National Park, on the shores of Loch Long, with views of the Loch and the River Clyde.


Blairmore Post Office opened 17th June 1869, and was the heart of the village for almost almost 100 years.

Just a short journey from Dunoon along the scenic coastal road around the Holy Loch & Loch Long, the location is stunning, at the Head of the Victorian Pier in the heart of Blairmore Village, on the shores of Loch Long with views to The Arrochar Alps, the loch, and the River Clyde beyond.

Blairmore is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in the Argyll Forest Park, which is in turn within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area encapsulates the essence of Scotland with mountains, lochs and sea blending together to create a place of great scenic beauty.

There a many walks and trails in the area. Close by is the magnificent Younger Botanical Gardens which is a satellite of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. Wildlife is plentiful and the area is ideal for ornithologists, hill walkers and ramblers. There are several designated mountain bike trails in the area and there plenty of scenic roads for more relaxed cycling.In short you can have a relaxing holiday,an active holiday, or something in between.

Dunoon is a popular seaside resort 9 miles away, and offers good shopping facilities, a cinema, golf course and a large indoor swimming pool. There is a yachting marina at Sandbank village just outside Dunoon . Throughout the area there are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and hotels offering the best of local fare.

"The perfect home away from home"

This lovely little flat sitting on the water front at Blairmore was the ideal holiday flat - simply decorated, comfortable bed, great view, excellent kitchen, clothes washer and drier, great shower in bathroom. All the amenities you would wish for at a very reasonable cost. We stayed for ten days and found it easy to travel from Blairmore to surrounding areas including Glasgow, Oban and Kintyre. If you have no car, the bus stop is just across the road. The t-room nearby served the best fruit scones around and the coffee is excellent. We will definitely use this holiday flat again and again.
