About the home

The greatest asset of Glen Doll is its view over the Sidlaw Hills from its south facing decked terrace.
Then there is the great comfort with its double pull down bed, luxury linen, underfloor heating, and walk-in power shower with lots of Body Shop products complimentary. There is lots to do around the area and many good places to eat out. You can visit Glamis Castle in the morning, lunch at Castleton House (3AA rosettes), and go for a stroll on the stunning Lunan Bay beach. There is also excellent horse riding, walks in the Angus Glen, fishing and shooting and golfing and it is also great for cycling. We have a safe heated room where you can leave your bikes and clothes to dry out.

There are books and magazines in the cottage, DVD, and a digital TV.
The kitchen is very well equipped with cookery books, top of the range cooker and oven, microwave, dishwasher ( we provide all washing products), white by Denby crockery, stainless steel cutlery.
In the chest of drawers you will find a sewing kit, hair dryer.
We also offer an ironing facility (tariff on demand). Luxury linen and egytian cotton towels are included in the hire.
In the shower room you will find Body Shops products, shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, body lotion and a heated towel rail.
On arrival there will be milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and a little surprise.

The private south facing terrace is ideal for relaxing. The garden is in a courtyard shape with its own water feature and Alexander Rose quality garden furniture. It is also very safe for children
We love dogs at the Steadings and you can bring either two small dogs or one medium /large dog and we can advise you on lovely places to go for free run.

We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking and full payment 8 weeks before arrival. There is a good housekeeping deposit of £100 payable on arrival (cash) which we will refund after a satisfactory inspection of the cottage.
Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am (although it the cottage is not booked after you, we can be flexible).
You can rent the cottage either for a whole week (max 3 weeks) or just for a 3 nights break.
We offer discount for two to three weeks break.
We also offer discount for single occupancy (just get in touch)

Among our favourite Historic House, Gardens and monument are Glamis Castle, the tours are excellent and there is a great coffee shop!, the House of Dun and Dunnotar Castle. Lunnan Bay is a stunning beach ideal for a summer or winter walk with a stop in Arbroath to visit the Abbey and buy great sea food. Nearby there is an exquisite restaurant " the But and Ben in Auchmithie. We can help you arrange horse riding , golf, quad biking, falconry, shooting.

Alyth is a charming town with a super butcher, Mike Dorward, his meat pie are to die for, a coffee shop where you can admire local photography taken by the owner, a lovely grocery shop, Margaret always select the best local produces including raspberry and strawberries in the summer.
