About the home

Situated on the pastoral valley of Strathmore, Glen Clova cottage is the ideal retreat for a rejuvenating holiday.
Under floor heating, top of the range kitchen equipment, internet access, digital TV, luxurious bed linen and fluffy towels, heated towel rails, power showers make a stay in Glen Clova a very comfortable experience.
Our house keepers and gardener look after every detail to maintain the highest standard and there is a warm welcome awaiting all our guests, with personal greeting, fresh flowers, fresh farm eggs and milk in the fridge....
In the bathroom there are Body Shop bath and shower gels, shampoo, conditioner. All the groceries such as kitchen rolls, washing up liquid and tablets, olive oil, sunflower oil, coffee, tea, sugar are provided, you just need to bring your food!
We have another 3 cottages next to Glen Clova and in total we can accommodate 12 guests, so this is ideal for a family and friend gathering. Next door the large house can be used to meal and party and we can provide our in house chef. Please ask us for cost and ideas for menus.
The owner has been in the travel business for the past 25 years and will be delighted to help you with arranging activities such as Hill walking, fishing, horse riding, visiting out of the beaten track beauty spots and castles.

The stunning bathroom lit by a chandelier has a walk- in power shower and a bathtub for relaxing after long walks in the countryside, the under floor heating, heated towel rail enhance the great comfort and cosy feel.
We have selected the best bed linen for you to enjoy a great night sleep and there are large wardrobe to store all your clothes. You can watch your favourite programs on the digital TV, listen to your CD and there is lots of just released DVD. We want you to feel at home and have selected interesting books and magazines for you.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped so you can prepare from simple to gourmet meals, bake scones, and enjoy your meals in great peaceful surroundings.

Further details outdoors:
Our garden is ideal for relaxing, it has stunning views over the Sidlaw Hill and you can sip your coffee whilst reading or just dreaming.... and listening to the birds and sound of the water fountain. The lawn is ideal for children to play in a very safe environment.
There are plenty of walks for dogs without taking the car (so ideal for a morning walk!)

Further details

We require a non refundable 25% deposit to secure the booking. You can either pay by cheque or we accept all the major credit cards at no extra charge (many companies charge if paying by credit cards). There is no extra charge for dogs which we consider part of the family but they will need to have their own bedding and are not allowed in the bedrooms (there are fitted carpets!) and on the sofas. There is space for two dogs.
The final payment is due 6 weeks before arrival and is not refundable.

The Blairgowrie area

Among our favourite Historic House, Gardens and monument are Glamis Castle, the tours are excellent and there is a great coffee shop!, the House of Dun and Dunnotar Castle. Lunnan Bay is a stunning beach ideal for a summer or winter walk with a stop in Arbroath to visit the Abbey and buy great sea food. Nearby there is an exquisite restaurant " the But and Ben in Auchmithie. We can help you arrange horse riding , golf, quad biking, falconry, shooting.

Alyth is a charming town with a super butcher, Mike Dorward, his meat pie are to die for, a coffee shop where you can admire local photography taken by the owner, a lovely grocery shop, Margaret always select the best local produces including raspberry and strawberries in the summer.
