The Perth and Kinross region
Perthshire has everything you expect of a Scottish holiday - beautiful scenery, charming towns and plenty of things to do. With two large urban centres of Dundee and Perth, transport connections are good and there is a full range of amenities. However, a short drive out of either of these cities takes you into beautiful scenery. Throughout the region, there are a number of historical sites, activities for all ages and charming, well-equipped towns.
Blairgowrie is well equipped with two supermarkets, including a large Tesco, a butchers, post office, and some gift shops. There is a far greater range of shops in Perth and Dundee. There is also a small Co-op in Coupar Angus, just a mile away. For outdoors enthusiasts, the region is great for walking, golf, fishing, cycling, canoeing and, in the winter, skiing. For places to visit, you could start with Glamis Castle, take a look at the nearby towns of Alyth, Blairgowrie and Dunkeld, check out the Beatrix Potter exhibition or Camperdown Park or see Scone Palace. The list goes on so please contact us if you have any specific interests and we will make recommendations for you.

"THE PLACE TO STAY."
Have stayed at Sidlaws three times during the past 6 months. Each time it has been a faultless experience - our children love the place. A very peaceful location, the property being exceptionally clean and well appointed. The owners, Nick and Sarah, are fantastic hosts. If you are visiting Blairgowrie area this is THE PLACE TO STAY.

"Excellent apartment in wonderful location"
Another hit! Reading about apartments and looking at photos is one thing. Sometimes reality is another thing. Not so in this case! This is an apartment catering for all your needs and on top of that helpful and service-minded hosts. Location is perfect for visiting many of the must- see places and the breath-taking landscape of this part of Scotland.

Sidlaws is just perfect. The games room is amazing our son made good use of the snooker table. The apartment is spotless and well maintained. It is a good sized apartment. The view from the balcony is beautiful and you also have your own lovely garden. There is alot to do in the area and it is a good touring base. Thanks sarah and nick for a wonderful holiday. Only problem is we had to leave to come home!!! Have recommended to several friends.

"great apartment in a beautiful area, with special owners"
We have had a beautiful holiday in your apartment - one of the most beautiful locations we’ve ever stayed in, and one of the best supplied houses. We slept very well and we really enjoyed the games room and the books from your library. We wish you all the best and many thanks for the great holiday !

"A Wonderful Secluded Haven of Tranquility"
Me and my American friend Bill (both retired) from Wisconsin stayed for 2 weeks late May,early June 2012. The apartment is perfect (apart from us two old coots struggling up the stairs...lol) . The location is perfect, situated in a scenic ,rural setting about 4 miles outside the lovely small town of Blairgowrie with all the amenities you may require. There is an excellent selection of restaurants all with easy reach by car. Plus for general food shopping there is a large Tesco supermarket in Blairgowrie. Nick and Sarah are your perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful which made our stay all the more pleasant. This is a wonderful base for touring central Scotland with a host of things to see and do. I thoroughly recommend Sidlaws as a the perfect place to stay for a memorable holiday.

"Excellent accommodation in Beautifull surroundings."
Many places of interest are within easy reach by car from Blairgowrie, the apartment is spacious and well appointed, light and airy and very comfortable. Food shopping very convenient in Blairgowrie, and very good restaurants within a short driving distance. As an added bonus we were lucky to have enjoyed a HEAT WAVE.

"Beautiful location........very relaxed"
We found the accomodation to be lovely. Very home from home and it was nice that we were left complimentary wine and milk etc. The location is a great base to explore and the views from the living room window are beautiful. There are horses and a pony in the paddock which my young son loved and also use of a games room which he also loved. There are various places close by to eat out and loads to do. we would definately recommend this place and will be visiting again next year.
