The Tayside/Perthshire region
Perthshire has everything you expect of a Scottish holiday - beautiful scenery, charming towns and plenty of things to do. With two large urban centres of Dundee and Perth, transport connections are good and there is a full range of amenities. However, a short drive out of either of these cities takes you into beautiful scenery. Throughout the region, there are a number of historical sites, activities for all ages and charming, well-equipped towns.
Blairgowrie is well equipped with two supermarkets, including a large Tesco, a butchers, post office, and some gift shops. There is a far greater range of shops in Perth and Dundee. There is also a small Co-op in Coupar Angus, just a mile away. For outdoors enthusiasts, the region is great for walking, golf, fishing, cycling, canoeing and, in the winter, skiing. For places to visit, you could start with Glamis Castle, take a look at the nearby towns of Alyth, Blairgowrie and Dunkeld, check out the Beatrix Potter exhibition or Camperdown Park or see Scone Palace. The list goes on so please contact us if you have any specific interests and we will make recommendations for you.
