About the home

The house sits in an elevated position looking across fields towards a magnificent view at the border of the counties of Angus and Perthshire, near the charming town of Alyth. It is surrounded by 6 acres of land including landscape gardens and paddocks and a large "potager" supplying the house with its own vegetables. Our Blackrock hens provide delicious eggs for breakfast. Dogs and their well behaved mum and dad are very welcome ( a maximum of three) and they can be left of lead within the ground as long as they are supervised.

The house is incredibly comfortable with underfloor heating, wood burning stove, a four oven Aga, Jacuzzi bath ( master bedroom), en suite bathroom for all bedrooms, and a large gallery for dancing, dinning, meetings).

Our other 5 stars self catering properties, Glen Prosen , GLen Isla and GLen Cova and our studio self catering cottage Glen Doll can sleep another 12 guests. So in total a party of 20 can be accommodate between the House and the Cottages.

The house , and the three cottages ( GLen Prosen, GLen Isla and Glen CLova ) share U shape courtyard landscaped garden which a a delightful fountain in its centre.

The House has large roof terrace which excellent for outdoor dinning, breakfast, cocktail partiesetc...

Conditions

Good house keeping deposit for one week £1000, for three nights : £500 ( banked prior to arrival) and refunded within 7 days after satisfactory inspection. The house is strictly non smoking.
You agree to keep the house and cottages clean and tidy and leave it in similar condition of cleanliness to when you arrived.

Any additional cleaning of the properties following your departure, beyond the normal amount reasonably required. may be charged as extra and deducted from your Good House Keeping Deposit.
Pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on soft furnishing and must not be left unattended in the house and cottages ( or outside).

You can arrive after 16:00 on the start date of your holiday and you must vacate the property by 10:00am on your final day. In all case please let us know your approximate arrival time so that we can be there to welcome you. A mobile phone number would be useful. Our own mobile is 0784 328 7575.

Deposit and Balance are non refundable in the event of cancellation
The numbers in your party must never exceed the stated house and cottage capacity which is twenty two except by prior agreement.

In order to secure a reservation you need to pay a deposit payment of 25% of the total rental. You can book by credit cards ( Except Dinners Club) via our secure server, cheque or bank transfers. We will confirm your reservation in writing. You are then responsible for the balance of the rental and the good house keeping deposit which are due no laterthan 8 weeks prior to you arrival.For reservation made within two weeks prior to arrival the rental must be paid by credit card. We do not charge extra for credit card payments unlike many of our competitors!

Among our favourite Historic House, Gardens and monument are Glamis Castle, the tours are excellent and there is a great coffee shop!, the House of Dun and Dunnotar Castle. Lunnan Bay is a stunning beach ideal for a summer or winter walk with a stop in Arbroath to visit the Abbey and buy great sea food. Nearby there is an exquisite restaurant " the But and Ben in Auchmithie. We can help you arrange horse riding , golf, quad biking, falconry, shooting.

Alyth is a charming town with a super butcher, Mike Dorward, his meat pie are to die for, a coffee shop where you can admire local photography taken by the owner, a lovely grocery shop, Margaret always select the best local produces including raspberry and strawberries in the summer.
