Delfryn is a double fronted, mid terraced stone cottage situated in the heart of the village on the slopes of the Moelwyn mountains. At the front of the cottage there is a sunny terrace with mountain views and garden furniture whilst at the rear there is a terraced, hillside garden above which runs the Ffestiniog Mountain Railway. The open plan living and dining area is spacious and well lit by the 2 front facing picture windows. An inglenook fireplace contains a woodburning stove. The separate, well equiped galley kitchen is adjacent to the dining area which easily seats six with a high high chair available. To the rear of the living area there is a downstairs shower room and access to the hillside garden.

There are three upstairs bedrooms, one double and two singles, and family bathroom. All bedrooms have good natural light and are equiped with TV/DVD players. There is space for a travel cot which is available on request. In the living area there is a kingsized modern bed settee that is easily converted to sleep an additional 2 people.

The prices are for three to six people with reduced prices available for those guests who only require the cottage for 2 people.

The cottage is equiped with wifi, a flat screen 32 inch TV, DVD and video players with a selection of videos and DVDs, IPod dock, a range of books, games and jigsaw puzzles. There is on road parking opposite the cottage with available secure storage space for mountain bikes in a garage a short walk away. Linen and towels are inc in the rent as is a welcome pack with tea, welsh cakes and a starter pack for the log burning stove. The cottage is non smoking however smoking is permitted in the front porch with ash tray provided. Please note that although the cottage is equiped and suitable for children it is recommended that, because of the gradient of the garden, their access and use of this aspect of the property is supervised at all times.

There are numerous mountain walks with waterfalls and breathtaking views. A picturesque lakeside cafe is just 5 minutes away as is the Tanygrisiau stop for the Ffestiniog Steam Railway. The slate mining history of the area that "roofed the world" is reflected in the remains of villages and mine works that can be explored in the mountains around. There are extensive outdoor recreation facilities in the hills around Ffestiniog including world class mountain bike trails and the new mountain zip wires. Within easy travelling distance you can find beaches, castles and Portmeirion, the stunning location of the TV series "The Prisoner".

We have spent a very happy winter in this cottage regularly visited by several of our grandchildren (aged between 3 and 15). When the weather has been too inclement to enjoy the outdoor activities they have enjoyed playing inside as there is plenty of room to put out train sets etc or hide away in their rooms with their laptops and TV. Hide and seek has been a favourite game!
