Set within 30 acres of farmland and on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Halsbeer farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Either on foot in the neighbouring Blackdown Hills, or by car with historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast but a short drive away. We also have a heated indoor swimming pool to keep the kids entertained closer to home and ample space to kick a ball around in or take the dogs for a well deserved walk.
Hay Cottage used to be an integral part of the working farm and date back to the Doomsday book although a lots changed since then! Hay Barn sleeps seven comfortably and has three luxurious four poster beds. It's large living area and four en-suite bathrooms make it perfect for families and groups of friends alike.
Relax in this traditional barns open spaces finished with oak beams, flagstone floors and modern furnishings or head outside onto one of two private outside spaces to dine al-fresco in the setting sun.
The ground floor of Hay Barn has traditional flagstoned floors and is home to the large open plan living area. The lounge sits among the original oak beamed structure of the barn and has ample seating and a large dining table that seats eight. Expand the lounge into the outside by pushing open the double glazed french doors onto the patio space to the front of the property or relax in-front of the tv and logon to the wi-fi.
The fitted kitchen packs everything you'll need to make you feel at home whilst preparing food and with an integrated dishwasher and washing machine you can keep on top of the chores so you can enjoy your break to the full.
Hay Barn has far ranging views of the countryside and an additional private courtyard to the rear. The ample outside dining and barbeque facilities allow this property to be enjoyed inside and out.
The ground floor is also home to a beautiful four poster bedroom with an ensuite wetroom and is wheelchair friendly.
The first floor houses two large double bedrooms both with 5' four-poster beds, vaulted ceilings and stripped pine floors and with en-suite facilities including beautiful roll top baths for a luxurious soak at the end of the day. There is also a small single bedroom with ensuite shower and wc facilites and dual access into the hallway and master bedroom. The rooms have been finished in natural tones and furnished to a high standard to provide you with a luxurious and natural place to stay.

Halsbeer Farm is situated in a beautiful valley between the villages of Blackborough and Kentisbeare at the edge of the Blackdown Hills. A popular holiday destination it is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching from Wellington to Honiton and Membury.
The Blackdown Hills are a hidden gem often overlooked by people who escape to Dartmoor, Exmoor or to the Cornish coast. Tucked inbetween the M5, M4 and A303 routes into the westcountry the area is also easily accessed from all over the UK.
By day, hundreds of footpaths, river banks, ancient woodland, villages and churches are just waiting to be explored. We can supply you with maps and plenty of helpful suggestions. The area provides a wonderful opportunity for walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
