Bishopswood House is a Victorian country house situated in its own magnificent 1000 acre estate.

The house accommodates 27 people in 14 rooms, which are a good mixture of double (some with four poster beds), single and twin rooms, most of which are en-suite. The ground floor has a comfortable sitting room with a wood-burner and TV. Both the kitchen and the large ballroom easily accommodate 27 guests to dine together for breakfast and/or an evening meal which makes Bishopswood House the perfect place for self catered holidays, celebrations, family get togethers, or for those looking for a relaxing retreat.

We are located by the river so there is canoeing and fishing. Go Ape (outdoor activity centre) and cycle paths are just 4 miles away in the Forest of Dean, along with the Wye Valley walk, Puzzle Woods, Clearwell Caves, Lydney steam railway all on our door step. There is also clay shooting, archery and horse riding. Plenty of activities to keep the energetic happy!

Bishopswood House is surrounded by all sorts of interesting days out. We are just a short drive away from the market towns Ross-on- Wye, Monmouth and Ledbury. Symonds Yat is right on the doorstep, famous for it's views drom Yat Rock, boat rides, bird watching, Hedge maze, and butterfly Zoo. Hereford, with it's Cathedral, chained library and Mappa Mundi is just half an hours drive, or visit Gloucester for it's docks, interesting museums and Cathedral. Cheltenham for some retail therapy, or if you fancy a day out at the beach take a trip to the picturesque Welsh coast. These are just a few of the many attractions in the area, tourists leaflets can be found at the house.
