The Vale of Glamorgan region

Awarded the title of Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956, The Gower Peninsular is a true haven. Tucked away in South-West Wales, Gower offers its visitors the feeling of complete freedom, whilst lying just a short drive from Swansea and the M4. Gower is famous for its beautiful and varied landscape, featuring golden beaches, limestone cliffs, moors, hills and woodland. A popular destination for ramblers, surfers and rock climbers, there's a wide range of activities on offer and always something new to try. Those who want to explore at a more relaxed pace can discover mouth-watering local produce, boutique shopping, cafes, art galleries and more in the popular fishing village of Mumbles. With a rich cultural heritage and plenty of attractions both ancient and modern, the Gower Peninsular is an area of the UK that's not to be overlooked.

Bishopston

Bishopston is a large village situated at the head of the Bishopston Valley - a great location from which to explore Gower. The beautiful valley leads down to Pwlldu Bay which is one of Gower's more secluded beaches and ideal to escape the crowds in the busy summer months. Brandy Cove is also just a short walk around the coast.
