Our return visit did not fail to live up to expectations. Our requirements this year were to have plenty of R & R before our baby arrives in 7 weeks time. We are leaving feeling wonderfully rested and our souls lifted by the constant, amazing view from the window. Hoping to bring our new little person to visit next year! 21st - 28th May
Had a wonderful time here in Caswell. The apartment was beautiful and the views just amazing! Your attention to detail was much appreciated. 2nd - 8th July 2011

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3A - only wish we could have stayed longer! The location is superb - sitting and watching the beach from the gorgeous big windows has been a real treat - and the flat is very comfortable and well equipped! It was also lovely to be able to meet Mr and Mrs Williams. We hope to be back! xx 20th Sept - 20th Sept
Have been staying in the chalet park every year in Caswell since I was born - boy am I glad they are closed or my husband and I would never have found this wonderful flat. So comfortable & wonderful. We will be coming to you year after year". 5th - 12th Dec 2010
We had a lovely 2 weeks at 3A and will definitely be back. What a spectacular view of the beautiful, ever changing Caswell Bay. Thank you for the nicely decorated home to spend our family Christmas in. We will definitely be back in 2010.
This has been a very special holiday for us. Our first "family" holiday with our 7 mths son. Having this place has been perfect, allowing us to go and explore the coastline for a few hours, relaxed in the knowledge we were never far from base and that stunning beach on our door step. It has helped having accommodation that is so baby friendly. The boaster seat and travel cot were great. Overall it is these extra touches that make the accommodation even more memorable. Your customer service has been great and things such as detailed information files have been brilliant. We love the flat and have imagined bringing our son here for many years to come. 15th - 22nd May 2010
From the minute in we walked I knew I had made the right decision for our family break! The view made feeding my 2 mth old son at at 5am a joy! We will def be back! 6th - 9th May 2010

The Vale of Glamorgan region
So much to do and to see in the surrounding area.
If you love nature and beautiful landscapes drive to the Botanical Gardens at Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire. It is a 45 minute journey but you will not be disappointed. The great dome glass house is impressive and home to plants from areas of the world which has a Mediterranean climate. The gardens are amazing all year round.
Closer to home and little known is Penllegaer woods, close to junction 47 off the M4 motorway. Unspoilt, with many woodland walks following the banks of its river.
Aberdulais falls, near Neath, are home to Europe's largest electric generating waterwheel. The falls are a spectacular sight! Its even possible to walk behind one!
The Dan-yr-Ogof caves situated in the Brecon Beacon's National Park are certainly on a par with the famous Cheddar caves. Quite as experience to enter.
The National Wetlands Centre at Penclacwydd, near Llanelli, gives visitors a closer look at wetland birds in as near a natural setting as is possible. A lovely cafe here, with a huge window overlooking the wetlands.
The Millennium Coastal Park, near Llanelli occupies approximately 10 miles of coastline on Bury estuary. It offers a continuous traffic free cycle/footpath.
Staff at the tourist information centre in the heart of Mumbles are very helpful and will help me out here and suggest places to suit you and your family. Enjoy!
From Caswell it is possible to take the coastal path all the way to Mumbles and what spectacular scenery you will see on the way! Around the first headland are the bays of Langland and Rotherslade. Bracelet Bay next then comes Limeslade. Mumbles light house can be seen and also the Mumbles Pier which was commissioned as the terminus for the old Swansea to Mumbles railway. Incidentally Mumbles train was the first passenger line in the world. Verdi's an ice cream parlour/cafe is a welcome sight on the way.
Mumbles is a delightful fishing village complete with its own 12th century castle standing on a small hill overlooking the magnificent Swansea Bay.
There is a five mile cycle path ( bicycles can be hired locally) running along the seafront taking you to the new marina and passing the LC which is Swansea's brand new leisure centre. Close by is the National Maritime Museum.
What has Swansea town to offer?
Lots and lots and with such variety. Its theatre boasts a wide choice of shows and exhibitions for everyone to enjoy. No forgetting the Dylan Thomas theatre which is most certainly worth a visit. There's the Plantastia too, a unique tropical haven of wonderful exotic plants and animals.
But there's the whole of the Gower Peninsula beckoning in all its glory to explore. Full of culture, endless coastal and woodland walks, beautiful beaches and variety of water sports to enjoy.
Do as little or as much as you please, but you cannot help but enjoy and be impressed by Britain's first area of outstanding natural beauty.

"Great place to Relax and Revitalise"
This was our fourth visit to Redcliffe, staying in different apartments, and it is was definitely the best. The living/kitchen area is high and spacious and gives a great view of the beach and sea. The large kitchen is modern, clean and well-equipped and is was a pleasure to cook and eat whilst enjoying the spectacular view. The bathroom appears to be very recently re-fitted and is decorated with a 'beach theme' as is the bedroom, the bed was very comfortable and the linen clean and fresh.
The apartment has its own entrance, which is a great advantage when arriving and departing and the Fresh flowers to welcome us was a nice touch.
We had great weather, spent some time on the beach, walked the coastal paths and enjoyed coffees at the Surfside Cafe in Caswell and The Brasserie in Langland.
A great relaxing holiday, thank you Auriol.
We do our best to provide accommodation that is relaxing, comfortable and a pleasant place to be. That is our responsibility. We are blessed with its wonderful location, coastal walks, an abundance of beaches and Mumbles fishing village with its numerous restaurants, pubs and individual shops.
Thank you for writing such a lovely review and great to hear we compared favourably with other Redcliffe apartments! Maybe we will see you again one day. Thanks for choosing our apartment.

"Great apartment, stunning views and beautiful location."
We really enjoyed our first visit to Caswell Bay and couldn't have picked better accommodation. From the genuinely warm welcome from Hugh and Auriol to the stunning panoramic views of the bay from the apartment window. The apartment was very contemporary, warm and well equipped, from the binoculars for catching passing boats or for people watching to the interesting reading material or the plethora of games for the children. We thoroughly recommend this little gem of an apartment which we believe is an ideal bolt-hole for exploring the beautiful Gower peninsular with direct access to the coastal paths in either direction. We are already planning a return visit.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. It is important to us that you do so. We love the location - and believe it is this, that makes it so special. It's pleasing to hear that you found the apartment warm and comfortable. Hopefully when you return you will find other parts of the Gower you haven't visited - there is certainly much to see!

"Great apartment, views and location; lovely owners"
My wife and I travel frequently and we think the 2A Redcliff apartment is one of the nicest we have ever stayed at.
Apartment - We stayed in 2A, which has a modern but very comfortable decor. Furnishings and appliances are of excellent quality. Layout is very good, and can accomodate three comfortably. The photos on the website accurately reflect the apartment, as well as the nearly beaches and hikes.
View - Spectacular view over Caswell Bay and its beach. It is uplifting to see the beach, ocean and sky out of the very large living room windows.
Owners - Auriol and Hugh (owners of 2A and 3A) are lovely people who renovated the apartments and treat the apartments and, most importantly, their guests with great care.
Location - You are literally above Caswell beach and bay, with hikes up the hills on either end of the beach. Short drive to other spectacular beaches and hikes. Near the town of Mumbles, a very cute, small village for shopping and restaurants. The entire surrounding area is extremely pleasant and picturesque.
Recommendations - Great for a couple escaping the city and equally wonderful for families with children.
Pricing - We felt that the apartment was great and is very fairly priced. We actually felt it was underpriced, but the owners are more interested in quality tenants and are not looking to extract the maximum from those who visit.
Overall - We highly recommend this apartment. If questions, you can contact the owners. My wife and I, who never met the owners before our visit, were so impressed by them and the apartment that we would be pleased to answer any questions about our visit. You can write to: email@example.com.
Best regards, John & Victoria
We always appreciate the time taken by our guests "putting pen to paper" to write reviews for us. Your coming all the way from America gave us much pleasure in introducing you to an area of Wales which is dear to our hearts. From those lovely photos you shared with us (please click to view) you visited many of the places recommended. There's so much more to see! We welcome you back any time to enjoy more of the delights of the Gower!

Hugh and Auriol have created such a beautiful relaxing and well-equipped apartment in a truly stunning location. This is the perfect place to get away from it all, or alternatively enjoy an active time on the beach and cliff paths.
We enjoyed sitting in the lounge gazing out to those in the sea and on the sand below as much as strolling along the shore ourselves and sampling the odd/several (!!) icecreams.
Can't wait to come back.
Thank you so much for loving our apartment! We feel that the location is just wonderful so it is up to us to provide a comfortable and relaxing accommodation to go with it. Hopefully our accommodation is in harmony with its location providing a welcome break from the stresses of every day life. We look forward to welcoming you back.

"Home from home but with that view"
Flat lovely - a real home from home with everything you could possibly need. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room in the flat. Nice welcome from the owners. The view of the beach is spectacular and very relaxing to watch and admire. Lovely having breakfast while watching the surfers on the beach. Our 2 children loved playing on the beach. There was plenty to do in the area including the lovely coastal walks from the flat. We would love to return one day.
It's a holiday to suit all ages, perfect for little ones to have fun on the beach and in those wonderful rock pools when the tide is out. It's good to sit at the window and watch the surfers riding those waves! The fishing village of Mumbles, is closeby, with its 12th century castle, lots of super shops and restaurants in abundance! And if you feel energetic coastal walks leading to more bays. We loved to read your comments. Thank you so much.

"Beautiful setting, faultless apartment"
What a fantastic place to stay. Not only is the location idyllic, the apartment is furnished beautifully and is spacious and sparkling clean. It had everything we needed - the WiFi was especially useful for us and even though there were 4 adults and a little baby, we had plenty of space. Good shower too and just immaculate throughout. Plus a helpful owner - what more can you ask?!
Thank you for writing such a lovely review. We strive to offer a relaxing and comfortable accommodation which hopefully, equals the apartment's wonderful location. I never tire of those sea views! So pleased you enjoyed your stay.

"A great holiday home for all seasons"
What a perfect place to stay so comfortable and all needs catered for. Although the weather wasn't brilliant it was a pleasure to sit and look out of the enormous lounge window at the sea,the surfers would turn up every morning whatever the weather and there were even some brave swimmers on new years day brrrrrrrr.
We hope to return early September and take advantage of the walks and also visit the many bays.Swansea city is a short car ride away if you like shopping.
Thank you Hugh and Auriol for a very pleasant stay.
We agree, come Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter all are wonderful times to be at Redcliffe to enjoy its location. One of those swimmers you saw may well have been our caretaker, for, without fail, at 9.30am every morning all year round he braves the sea, with no protection of a wet suit!He tells me it's a wonderful way to start the day. I'll take his word for it!!! We look forward to welcoming you back in September. Thank you for those lovely comments.

"A very comfortable apartment - awesome location."

what could we say the views were outstanding, just open the blinds and there was the bay.
The apartment was comfortable, warm and very clean. The only downside was WE HAD TO LEAVE. Thankyou for the perfect break.
Such satisfying comments for us as owners to read. Thank you so much. The guests above were celebrating their wedding anniversary and Redcliffe I believe is in the most perfect location to celebrate any special event.

"Wonderful apartment, wonderful view, wonderful walks!"
We had a wonderful stay at 2A. The apartment was well equipped, in excellent order and in an fantastic location. We enjoyed several coastal walks from the apartment including one to Mumbles to sample Verdi's ice cream which was well worth it! As a runner I also enjoyed a good run across the beach at Caswell Bay and up onto the the same coastal path towards Mumbles. The beach itself is lovely and sandy and it was so relaxing to sit and eat your meals in the apartment staring at the sea. I would definitely look to return and would hope to be able to stay longer than a weekend.
So pleased you enjoyed your short break. Yes, there are lovely walks either side of the bay. Along the one to Mumbles you may see a resident seal who loves to watch the walkers go by along the coastal path. In direct contrast the walk to the right of Redcliffe takes you to Brandy Cove, small and secluded and then on to the larger bay at Pwll Du - totally unspoilt and wonderful.
