The Heart of England / Peak District / Shropshire region
Encompassing the Cotswolds, Shropshire and the Welsh Borders, this true “heart of England” offers honey coloured stone cottages, country towns and tranquil countryside. Shropshire delights with its variety. Whether exploring the castle, narrow streets or fine dining of Ludlow, strolling by the river in medieval Shrewsbury or discovering delightful Church Stretton, Bridgnorth or Bishops Castle, you can be assured of plenty to see and sample. Even the museums and attractions are wide ranging; from the industrial investigations to ecologically informative nature centres, and even the chance to step back in time and visit a working Victorian village. Even the landscape alters, from the hills, heaths and deep wooded valleys of the Welsh borderlands to the magnificent, moorland scenery of the Long Mynd, while the beautiful Teme, Clu, Corve and Onny valleys host an amazing variety of wildlife. You can even take a walk on the wild side among the legendary Stiperstones, at Wenlock Edge and within the stunning Clee Hills. Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye. And if all that touring leaves you thirsty, lashings of Herefordshire cider should do the trick!
The Bishop's Castle area
Bishop's Castle is a lovely market town located in the stunning natural splendour of the South West Shropshire Hills. The town holds a weekly market which showcases local produce, and there is also a superb choice of shops, pubs and eateries. The Annual Real Ale Festival is famous, and regular Fairs – the most popular of which is the Michaelmas Fair – are regularly held in the town. Bishop’s Castle is in an ideal spot for touring the beautiful Welsh Marches and rural Shropshire, with walks along Offa's Dyke and Shropshire Way. The lively towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are an easy drive away, and the area offers many visitor attractions for the whole family, including the Severn Valley Railway and the fascinating Powys Castle.

We enjoyed the space the cottage offered, especially having two dining tables. Bishops Castle was a most delightful village to visit with lovely shops, good food and friendly people.
The hot tub was great too!

,The setting was lovely and quiet and close to walks, shops and pubs. The location was very good and the property was lovely. Hot tub was a massive bonus. It was worth the money.

,We loved this cottage, the hot tub was used daily! Plenty of board games and playstation games to keep the children entertained plus a lovely large patio for them to run around and play on. The facilities were flawless, the shower was amazing, everything had been thought of. The owners were polite and even though they lived close they never interfered. The village is a short walk away with lots of lovely pubs serving delicious food. The village shops were ideal and there was a large park and playfield within a short stroll. Would love to visit again soon.
