Experience a typical Maltese house. Cosy and spacious terraced house situated in a residential area in the central town of Birkirkara. The front garden at the entrance leads to a spacious lobby giving access to a combined sitting / dining room, a kitchen / living room and a spare toilet. The well lit kitchen, which has all the modern facilities, looks over a small back garden with a shady tree, ideal for BBQs.

The first floor has the sleeping area, consisting of two double bedrooms and one single. A useful boxroom and the main bathroom make up the rest of the floor. Each floor enjoys balconies, both to the front and back of the property.

The sunny roof has a central washroom which is adjoined on both sides by open areas.

The house itself has the advantage of being within walking distance of the University of Malta, the new Mater Dei Hospital, the HSBC International Call Centre and the new APS Bank Head Office, together with various schools. As such therefore it can be attractive to professionals connected to these establishments. For holidaymakers it provides for the shopping and entertainment possibilities offered by Sliema, Paceville and Valletta, the Capital, which are only a short drive away. There is also the lovely sandy beach of St.Georges bay which is only a 15mins drive away.

The area enjoys a very good public transport service, with availability of bus services connecting the nearby towns being within walking distance. A bus stop connecting to this system lies a few metres down the road from the house.

Malta is the jewel in the heart of the Mediteranean. Described as the happiest place on earth in an annual poll published by the Sunday Times, it has a superb year-round climate with 300 days of sunshine a year. There is a variety of things to do on the island for all age groups - water sports, walking, horse riding, golf, sailing as well as MTV coming to the island and high profile music concerts. The Maltese all speak English besides a multitude of other languages. Malta has many golden beaches perfect for sunbathing and water sports. and some fabulous places to swim or dive. Some of these are nearby but others worth a visit, Blue Lagoon or Paradise Bay can be reached by Bus, Taxi or Car. Boats and jet skis can be hired from many beach outlets scattered round the isalnd, for the more adventurous. Festivals are one of the highlights of the island, and there is a Festival most weeks throughout the year. The capital of the island is Valletta, a historic world heritage site, dating from the Knights of St.John.Take a visit to Gozo Island, or Sicily which is only 90 minutes away by Virtu Ferry. Birkirkara

The town of Birkirkara is one of the largest in Malta, having grown over the years to a thriving community. It has numerous shopping facilities and business establishments and the Old Collegiate Church of Saint Helen's boasts the largest bell on the island. Lots of activities take place during summer and most of them are usually free together with the weekly village Feasts and fireworks across the island.

"Delightful family reunion in Malta"

Mary and Alfred were very welcoming on arrival. They took us on a tour of the village that we now understand is known as Birkirkara Heights! The house is slightly on the rustic side. This is not meant… More

"A good way to visit Malta"

My friends and I spent 10 days in Malta.
We found a really good house in Birkirkara, Mary and Alfred, the owners, are really friendly and helped us a lot. Birkirkara isn't in the cost, but is in a good position to reach everything. You we'll need a car or a scooter to visit Malta and it's the best way if you want to reach all the beautiful spots. Alfred we'll help you on find the best scooter hire company.
The house is really big...3 floors, spacious bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom. two big terrace (nice for dinner time). We really loved that house. The house isn't modern, but is a typical Malta house. And the neighbourhood is safe...a Malteise neighbourhood...no tourist there. I think is better.

If you'll have any problem Mary and Alfred we'll help you, they are so kind!
If I'll come back to Malta, I'll call Mary and Alfred to check if they we'll have space in that house :-)

At the moment of our stay there was only a LAN modem...but Alfred told us he'll buy a new WiFi Modem. Ask him.

Thank you Mary and Alfred for everything!

Thank you for your kind comments. We were glad to be of help in order to make your holiday a success and that you found the facilities of our house to your satisfaction. We will always be happy to see you again and hope that this will be in the near future.
