Foxglove Cottage has been designed by an architect and was completed in Spring 2008. It has been built and furnished to a very high standard, and is one of a pair of cottages which are linked by internal double doors. There is the option to rent both properties as one unit as the doors can be opened. Baytree Cottage faces south west and has views across the meadow and woodland. It is extremely light and well appointed and is absolutely ideal as a holiday home.

The cottage adjoins Baytree Cottage which is also available to rent, and the two can be opened up as one residence. Alternatively they are ideal for 2 separate families. This property is ideal for those with an interest in sailing, walking, golf, sight seeing, or just peace and quiet. There are so many things to do and places to visit, including some of the best beaches in the south, horse racing at Goodwood and the Chichester Festival Theatre.

Guests are encouraged to use the meadow which sometimes can facilitate cricket and other sports such as badminton. The cottage has ample parking and is within walking distance of the marina and sailing facilities. Deer can sometimes be seen in the meadow.
The reservation fee must be paid to confirm the booking, and this is 30% of the rent due. the balance is required 60 days before the start date of the holiday. If the booking is made less than 60 days before the start date, the full balance will be required.
Payment can be made by debit card or credit card, but please note that there is a surcharge of 3% for credit card payments.
About this location
The West Sussex region
There are lots of historic buildings within striking distance such as Petworth House, Chichester Cathedral, and Stansted Park. The rolling Downs are also only a few miles away. The area enjoys some of the best weather in the country.
Birdham is one of the most sought after villages in the area and is set within the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a marina just down the lane from the cottage with excellent sailing facilities and access to Chichester Harbour. People come from all over the country and beyond for the summer sailing season and there is an abundance of wildlife to be viewed. Just to the south of Birdham lies the village of West Wittering which has a lovely sandy beach, regarded as one of the best in the south of England. It is excellent for wind surfing and other water sports and further activities to be enjoyed in the area include golf and racing at Goodwood, motor sports (also at Goodwood), county cricket at Arundel and Hove, and Polo at Cowdray near Midhurst.
There are numerous places to visit including Parham House, Stansted Park, Goodwood House, Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, Petworth Park, Arundel Castle and he Arundel Wetlands Centre. You certainly won't be bored if you stay in this cottage
