Binissalem area
The house is 5 minutes from Binissalem, a small agricultural town that lies northeast of Palma and is the hub of Mallorca’s wine growing region (the wine festival at the end of September is one of the most visited events on the island).
It is synonymous with authenticity, warm heartedness and is loaded with character. The main attraction of the town, apart from its sleepy streets of mellow golden stone, is its rarity as a place untouched by development.
There are a reasonable selection of restaurants in Binissalem.And and it only short scenic drive away from Soller, Valdemossa, Deia or the Monastery of Lluc. Situated in the perfect location for both walking, especially in the Traumantana Mountains, and cycling for miles on the flat terrain.
How to get there
25 km to the airport of Palma de Mallorca (Son Sant Joan).
Use of car recommended. Public transport for the short journey from the Son Sant Joan airport isn't really a practical option, and most visitors would certainly either be collecting a hire car from the airport, or making the transfer by one of the numerous taxis waiting outside the arrivals hall.
