Undoubtedly one of the nicest homes in Binibeca, Villa Alhubara sits serenely on a hillside. Facing south towards the Mediterranean sea, uninterrupted views stretch over turquoise blue waters, offering panoramic views in every direction.

One of the most outstanding features of this property is the upstairs terrace with the most amazing views in all of Binibeca. The villa's location puts you within easy reach of one of Menorca's best white sand swimming beaches, just over half a kilometre from the home.

This elegant four bedroom residence has all modern amenities and is registered with the tourist board (SUPERIOR category). The villa is tastefully decorated and appointed with guests' comfort in mind. Extensive terraces offer a choice of areas perfect for relaxation. The sun loungers have adjustable back-rests and comfy cushions. The outdoor living space is completed by the purpose-built barbecue and the gated swimming pool which has Roman steps at the shallow end for easy access into the water. Three illuminated outdoor eating areas provide a relaxing place to retire after sunset and fragrant jasmine and trumpet flower scent the night air. The mature lawned garden is fenced and gated and has ample space to play.

To further enhance your holiday, a Menorca air experience flight, for spectacular aerial views of the island, or the sampling of some award winning Spanish and French wines can be arranged.

The downstairs twin bedroom is separated from the adjoining double bedroom by a curtained archway and is ideal for accompanying children.

The Menorca region

Menorca (Minorca) takes its name from being smaller than the nearby island of Mallorca (Majorca). It has a population of approximately 95,000. Its highest point, called El Toro or Monte Toro, is 358 m/1174 ft above sea level. In October 1993, Menorca was designated by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve.

The island is known for its collection of megalithic stone monuments which speak of a very early prehistoric human activity. The fiestas honouring the towns' patron saints take place around the island throughout the summer.

Menorca’s cuisine is dominated by the Mediterranean diet and the island is most famous for its lobster stew (caldereta de langosta), Maó cheese (tangy, intense and delicious!) and Xoriguer gin which is produced using traditional stilling methods.

The Binibeca / Binibeca Vell area

The resort area of Binibeca, characterised by private white washed villas and a Spanish style fishing village complex, is perfect for a quieter, relaxing holiday.

The fine white sandy gently shelving beach (ideal for families with children) is surrounded by greenery, giving it an unspoilt setting.

Sun loungers and pedaloes are available for hire and there is a beach bar set on rocks to the side of the beach for snacks and drinks. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants around the resort.

Menorca is connected to the Spanish mainland by several ferry routes. A lazy journey through France, Spain and then to Menorca is an interesting alternative. Trasmediterránea and Balearia run regular ferry services from Barcelona and Valencia. Inter-island ferries are also available: Both Balearia and Iscomar run a service from Ciutadella to Alcúdia (Mallorca) and Interilles offer a fast ferry service (passenger only) from Ciutadella to Cala Ratjada (Mallorca).
