Ivy Cottage is ideal for a couple wanting a quiet retreat, and will also cater for a couple with an older child, as it has a mezzanine bedroom which houses a single bed. It is full of charm and character with a wealth of exposed beams. There is lots to do in the near vicinity, and there is a super animal farm/theme park within walking distance, called Fisher's Farm. This has a variety of animals and lots of events on throughout the year, as well as lots of activities. Elsewhere there are numerous places to visit, including Arundel Castle, Parham House, and Goodwood Race Cours/Motor Racing Circuit, all of which are within about 40 minutes' drive. The market town of Horsham is about 9 miles away, and the area is excellent for walkers.

The cottage has very quirky accommodation, with the kitchen and bed/sitting area being open plan. There is patio area with seating and there is a seperate washroom with washing facilities. Bed linen is provided by the owners. Please note that the mezzanine bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase, and may not be suitable for all visitors. The South East England region
Lots of places to visit are within easy striking distance of this cottage. There is the beautiful market town of Horsham to the north/east, which has a good shoppong centre, and just a few miles to the west is a pretty market town called Petworth. This houses Petworth House, which is an interesting place to visit, and also Petworth Park, a lovely open park with beautiful walks and deer. Just further on near Chichester is Goodwood House, along with Goodwood Race Course and the motor racing circuit, and the coast is only about 40 minutes' drive.
There several events at Goodwood during the year, including Glorious Goodwood, a week long horse racing festival, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Revival Meeting. Arundel holds a festival annually, and for sailing enthusiasts there are some excellent sailing villages on the coast, including Itchenor and Bosham. There is also Polo played at Cowdray Park, which is near Midhurst, about 13 miles away. county cricket is played at Arundel, where international touring sides also often play. The Chichester Festival Theatre is renowned for attracting top stars from all over the world, and it is also easy to visit London for the day, either by train or road.
