"A gem of a place."
Great location, easy access to walks in Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale and Dovedale. Excellent accommodation with all the facilities you need and some lovely little touches. Makes you feel at home within an hour of getting there.
Am really pleased you had a nice couple of days staying in Courtyard Creamery. The painter has been in for a week just to freshen it all up so you will have to come back and stay again!

"Just about perfect"
We stayed in the Courtyard Creamery for two nights - a short weekend getaway. The cottage is absolutely lovely. Really comfortable bed, nice big living area with vaulted ceiling, well-equipped kitchen and gorgeous views. It's in a quiet rural location, but with the main house close by we didn't feel too cut off. There are plenty of villages with pubs and tearooms within a short distance (we enjoyed a decent dinner at the Staffordshire Knot, and the delicious pies sold in the Village Stores deli in Hartingdon sustained us on a long walk!).
Overall, I couldn't really fault it. Thank you, Jane - we'll be back one day, I think!
Thank you for your nice review. You seemed to do a lot in a short space of time and I am glad you had a good weekend at Biggin Grange. The Village Stores in Hartington is a fantastic addition to the village and I am glad you discovered it. I must revisit the Staffordshire Knot as I've not been for a while and it is always good to know good local pubs. Come back and see us again if you need a country fix! Jane

"A hidden gem."

I'm so pleased you had a nice couple of days in the grey November weather we seemed to have when you were here! It was at least sunny when you left! Glad you liked the cottage and it is lovely and cosy when it is cold outside. I'm glad the ginger cookies were a success. Do come back again in the warmer months - the patio is such a sun trap and lovely to relax looking out at the views. Jane

It was really nice to meet you both and thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of Courtyard Creamery. I am so glad you had a nice weekend and managed to sample both Biggin Hall and The Waterloo Inn in the village - saves cooking ....! Hopefully see you again if you need to escape from the City! Jane

"Wonderful cottage in a beautiful area"
The owners were warm and welcoming but unobtrusive. The cottage is in an idyllic location and has everything you could want / need for a perfect stay. Plenty of excellent walking and cycling from the door and good views from the patio (which due to the weather we didn't really get to enjoy). We have already got our next stay pencilled in and would recommend any of the three cottages on site to couples wanting a relaxing break in a wonderful area - you feel miles from anywhere but can walk to the pub! Many thanks to Jane and Richard for their hospitality.
Thanks so much for the lovely review. I am so sorry you had so much rain during your few days with us but it never seemed to stop you getting out and about! I am looking forward to seeing you next year and it is good it is all booked in. Jane

"Most relaxed stay ever"
It was a lovely time spent there - I would definitely come back again. Jane and her husband were extremely helpful! The house was beautiful and had everything that made our stay amazing! Jane also let us borrow her bikes!!
Trust me, the property is much better than advertised. :)
Really pleased you had a nice couple of days and you certainly seemed to make the most of the area by exploring - I was very impressed with your schedule! It was lovely to meet you both and do come and see us again if you need a break from your University studies! Jane

"All we wanted and more"
Great cottage. The massive kitchen/sitting room is a great feature and stayed nice and warm despite the wet and windy weather. We recommend the Devonshire arms in Harrington and had a great time exploring local sights and walks. We hope to return.
I am glad you were nice and warm despite the wild weather! Derbyshire certainly gets the extremes! Really pleased you had a good break at Biggin Grange and look forward to seeing you again if you are coming to the Peak District again in the future. Jane

"Outstanding!! Highly recommended"
This is a great property in a fantastic location, a perfect romantic getaway. Jane and Richard are the perfect hosts who gave a warm welcome (home baked cake included!) and were on hand for any help and assistance including a lockaway for our bikes, the Tissington Trail is just a mile away, and some good recommendations in where to eat out. We will definitely book again when we visit the area in the future. Hats off to Jane and Richard who have obviously worked hard to make this a special place.
I am so pleased you had a nice couple of days at Biggin Grange and the weather was good to let you pedal your way down the Tissington Trail. Thank you for your nice review and glad you liked the cake. I think it is watching The Great British Bake Off it tends to inspire me even though the cakes are much more basic than the TV! When you feel like recharging your batteries again do come back and see us. Jane

Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you have returned to recharge your batteries though judging by the amount of walking and cycling you did I'm not sure how much rest you had! It is lovely when guests return and I am glad you had another good week. There is so much to do in this area and you certainly covered some ground - well done! I am always trying to improve the cottages and pleased you could notice some changes. Also, so pleased you discovered the fish and chips run by the crazy Greeks - my children love it! Jane
