The property is ideal for a quiet relaxing stay; to be mesmerized by the views across Bigbury Bay from the comfort of the Sun Lounge, with a romantic sunset over Burgh Island, or over dinner gazing at the evening sunlight over Bantham and the River Avon.

Alternatively, it's comfortably spacious for a family including a large garden for children's play. As the beach is a 5 minute walk from the garden gate via the National Trust coast path, it's very easy to combine the pleasure of the beach with the comfort of the bungalow.

There are local amenities nearby: Bigbury on Sea Post Office, (sells provisions), Bigbury Golf Course, The Venus Cafe and the Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island.

It has a 3 Star Rating from the English Tourism Council.

The West Country / Devon region

Bigbury-on-Sea area

BIGBURY ON SEA is a small hamlet in the South of Devon set in the beautiful coastal area of the South Hams which is linked to Burgh Island (with its famous Art Deco Hotel and Pilchard Inn) by a short sandspit which is covered at high tide. There is a large sandy beach, excellent for swimming, surfing and windsurfing and Bigbury Golf Club, with its 18 hole course and sea views, is nearby. The Venus Beach Café and Post Office (also selling provisions) are also available. The city of Plymouth with its shops, museums, theatres and cinema is within half an hour’s drive.

Conditions

Booking Conditions:

1. The advance deposit of £80 for one week or £180 for two weeks or £60 for a three day out of season break is to be paid on booking. The balance of the rent is to be paid 28 days before the commencement of the tenancy.
2. If for any reason the tenant cannot occupy the premises then sufficient notice must be given and the accommodation will be re-let. It is recommended that insurance should be taken out for loss by enforced non occupation.
3. It is not permitted to bring domestic pets on to the premises.
4. The tenant must not permit the premises to be occupied for the purpose of sleeping a larger number of persons (including children) than is stated .
5. Prices may be subject to change at the owner’s discretion.
6. Only Friday to Friday bookings are accepted between May and September but short breaks (min. 3 nights) are available at other times of the year.
