Situated on the banks of the tidal River Torridge, the ideal spot for guests looking to unwind and relax, whilst the tide laps at the garden wall. Bideford, referred to as the 'little white town' by the author Sir Charles Kingsley, is a short walk across the bridge, and offers a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops selling local products.
You will be a 2 minute walk to bicycle hire, take a 20 minute cycle ride on the Tarka Trail to the sandy beach at Instow or kayak hire is also within walking distance. Westward Ho! beach is a short drive enjoying 2 miles of golden sandy beach. The North Devon coast is littered with sheltered coves and fishing villages, and offers some of the finest walking, over the rolling hills, to the awe inspiring cliff walks to the rugged moors. Numerous attractions are all on your doorstep from the family attractions of The Big Sheep, and The Milky Way, to numerous National Trust properties.
This charming, end terraced property is a traditional fisherman's cottage and offers TWO bedrooms: both on the first floor and reached via steep cottage style stairs. 1 double with access to an outside terrace that makes full use of the river views and 1 further room with adult bunk beds. Bathroom: also on the first floor offering shower over bath and WC. Lounge: spacious and benefitting from river views, ample seating around the flatscreen TV with DVD and Freeview. Kitchen/diner: benefitting from oven with gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. Outside: paved enclosed garden ideal to while away those long summer days with decking, ample seating, BBQ area and a low wall overlooking the river (children beware). Amenities: roadside parking available nearby or in the local pay and display car park. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Regret no pets or smoking. Location: beach 2 miles, shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Arrival: 3pm.
