Our large double bedrooms may be booked individually: they are are furnished with antiques and all have TV and wi-fi. Two of the bedrooms have an en-suite shower-room, and the third bedroom has a shared bathroom. We can provide family facilities with extra single beds added to a room, and a cot and high-chair are available on request.

Larger groups have exclusive use of a private sitting/dining room with a log fire, TV, wi-fi and own south-facing terrace with table and chairs. There is plentiful private off-road parking in the driveway outside.

The shared farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped and has dining seating for 6 people, Guests have their own fridge/freezer and cupboard for supplies. Laundry can be undertaken for a small charge.

Outside, there is a pretty lake at the back in the garden, and guests can stroll around the 25 acres of farmland to see the many wild ponds and the farm animals. There are many local walks in the countryside, and cycle routes along quiet country roads. It is peaceful and tranquil, and an ideal opportunity to relax.

You can walk to the local village of Biddenden in about 10 minutes where there are good restaurants (including the Michelin starred West House), a good local pub with food, and a number of shops. Whitfield Farm is ideally located for visiting many places of interest, with Sissinghurst Castle, Leeds Castle, Scotney Castle, Bewl Water all nearby, along with many award-winning vineyards and championship golf courses at Chart Hills and the Weald of Kent, local fishing at the Cackle Hill Lakes, and flying and skydiving at the private Headcorn Aerodrome. The coast is some 30 minutes by car to Camber Sands, and the channel tunnel link at Ashford gives easy access to France and Belgium for day trips.

We are within easy reach of London and for a small charge we can collect and drop off at the local station of Headcorn which connects with Charing Cross and London Bridge in 55 minutes. There is also a high speed train to Ashford International from St Pancras in 37 minutes. There are many local taxi services, a bus service from the village, and we can accommodate lifts to nearby destinations for our guests' convenience. The Kent region

From mysterious marshlands and breathtaking countryside to the dramatic white cliffs of Dover, there are medieval towns, historic castles, towering cathedrals and bustling seaside resorts to keep you busy on your visit to Kent.

One of the lovliest villages in the Weald of Kent, Biddenden is remarkable for its wide High Street and pavements of Bethersden Marble (a local limestone containing fossilised snailshells), for its brick and timbered houses and the lofty tower of its grey stone church, all of which have attracted artists through the ages. The village is perhaps best known for the tale of the Biddenden Maids, who were born in 1100 joined at the shoulder and hip, and their statue can be seen on the village green today.

The village has an industrial history in sheep and wool and the many fine houses which can be seen the locality are testament to the wealth this trade brought to the area. Back in the 14th century Flemish weavers were encouraged to move to this area and bring their weaving and dying skills with them.

Within 10 minutes walk are a range of local shops including a small supermarket, butchers, post office, hairdressers and tea rooms with gift shop. Biddenden has two restaurants, including the Michelin starred 'West House' and there is a local pub which serves a wide range of food at lunchtime and in the evenings. A little further out is the award-winning Biddenden Vineyards, where you can walk around the vineyards and sample the wines and ciders in their tea rooms and shop afterwards.

The tree-lined high street has historic shops and houses dating back to the 15th-century, but save your pennies for a visit to the local vineyard.
