About the home

Nested in the greenery, the villa enjoys a wonderful view on the sea , and from the terrace and the garden. The two beaches of Bidart (Erretegia beach beside the villa and Centre beach) are easily accessed from the villa by the coastal footpath and steps.

The villa has just been laid out for modern comfort and convivial living. Contemporary transparent furnishing in the living room, more traditional and intimate in the rooms. Open fireplace for out of season rentals.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Pyrenees Atlantiques region

The Basque Coast enjoys a very pleasant climate all year round. After a mild autumn and winter, the early spring quickly gives way to a moderate summer with very pleasant temperatures that are rarely very high. The climate is temperate without excessive temperatures and an especially agreeable late season with its Indian summers.
In winter, ski resorts, in the Pyrenees, are only one hour and half driving away from the villa.
Interesting historic places, Bayonne and the cathedral, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the church where King Louis XIV got married, Biarritz where many European royalty, including Queen Victoria, used to travelled in the last 19th century.
Going south, the Spain, visit San Sebastian and Bilbao with the Guggenheim museum.

The Biarritz / Bidart area

Bidart, typical coastal village between Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, is a perfect starting point to visit the Basque villages of the interior, to go hiking in the mountains or to go shopping in the towns on the coast.

The region is world famous for its surfing and a privileged destination for golf-lovers who relish the vast choice of golf courses within a 40km radius . And many sporting activities such as tennis, Basque pelote, horse riding…
And the local gastronomy, the traditional villages fêtes, the architectural heritage, the countryside, the mountains, the ocean and… several thalassotherapy to relax and well-being treatment.

“A holiday villa that makes you want to stay on and on and on” Our stay at the villa, that is located a short distance from both the beach and the centre of the village of Bidart was fantastic. The villa offered ample space, it was well equipped for our holiday, with a great verandah overlooking the ocean where we could share our meals, or relax after a long day at the beach that we could access by a path just a couple of meters away. It really made for a memorable holiday in the Southwest of France.

“Awesome amenities - close to Spain - ocean view - walk to beach” The house and village were wonderful, clean, and full of character. House had everything our family could want - dishwasher, landry, modern kitchen, internet, large backyard with bbq, parking ect. The ocean view off the backyard was breathtaking. Surfing lessons were literally a 10 minute walk away. Great restaurants within walking distance. Excellent grocery stores close by. Owner was accommodating. Complete with maid services.
