About the home

The villa benefits from its own private pool, which is protected by a security fence which is perfect for children. Leading from the Kitchen is a covered Terrace. The Terrace is equipped with a gas barbecue and is ideal for relaxing and dining outdoors. If you are not up for cooking, the villa is a 5 minute from the the basque village of Larressore, which has a great restaurant that my guests have been very happy with the welcome they receive (if you do see an English Menu you can credit one of my past guests for helping them). With four bedrooms the villa is ideal for families . The location is very centrally located between the mountains and the sea, there is loads in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Ideally located withinn 30 min radius of Biarritz, Bayonne, Anglet, Cambo, St Jean Pied de Port, St Jean de Luz, beaches, Mountains and Spain.

The Basque Country’s attractiveness is due to the local culture, gastronomy, mild climate, mountains and its numerous sandy beaches.

The Basque Country is beautifully kept with pretty towns and villages. There are many festivals including the Bayonne festival, the tuna festival in Saint Jean de Luz and many village festivals where you will can experience Basque songs, dances and Basque Sports such as Bare hand pelota, chistera and pala games and the spectacular cesta punta competitions in Saint Jean de Luz and Biarritz.

The Biarritz / Larressore Village area

Local activities include golf, thalasso therapy, hill walking, tennis, cycling, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering, surfing, wind surfing and swimming. Activities are easily accessible and you can enjoy this area all year round, due to its mild climate.

There are numerous hiking trails in the region including 'La Rhune' (which has a great view of the coast, cable train access, 'ventas' where you can shop and enjoy the local food).

“Fantastic location for a great Basque house with a wonderful pool.” The owner was very helpful and easy to contact, plenty of information about property and local area. House was excellent and cool on the hot days, the outside eating area was perfect and covered in case of the odd shower. loads of room inside and plenty of dvds to watch in the evenings. The pool was the fantastic in the afternoons after a great walk and the toys left out were great. Superb boulangerie in local village and great eating out in Cambo.

“One of the best holiday villas we have had.” Very helpful and friendly owner before and during the stay. Lovely villa and pool suitable for both families with children (toys & activities readily available) and groups of adults. Good location: within easy reach of Bayonne, Biarritz and beaches as well as Pyrenees and Spain. Thinking of returning.

Prices are for one week, from 4 pm Saturday to 10 am the following Saturday. Deposit on booking of 30%. Remainder payable 4 weeks before arrival. Breakages deposit cheque €400 (or STG£300) to be paid before arrival, repaid on departure after site check.

The renter may cancel under the following conditions: The renter gets half deposit returned if cancelled more than 4 weeks before arrival. Less than 4 weeks notice the renter will loose the deposit.

The owner may cancel under the following conditions: The owner reimburses the total sums already paid by the renter

The house is to be returned after use clean.
