About the home

The apartment, situated in the villa Sea and Sky built in 1930, has beautiful views from every room, high ceilings and balconies all along the seaside. Perfect for daytime sunshine and evening sunset moments. The spacious interior was decorated by a Parisian interior designer and offers you the feeling of a luxurious home. Within walking distance of the Grande Plage and its promenade.

The apartment has high ceilings and balconies all along the seaside, with a large living area over two floors. The balcony is ideal for family dining and sun bathing or for a romantic sunset dinner. The villa Sea and Sky also has its own, English speaking yoga coach - please ask for more details!

Pelote Wall Basque:
Several villages in the Basque Country preserved their ' place typique' with all the traditional elements; houses, church, Marie, and pediment of ball Basque. Played in a reduced space, the cesta punta is the most spectacular form of the plays of ball. The summer it is the period of competition or international meetings.

Maison Basque:
As soon as one thinks of the Basque Country, the image of the vast white house with its asymmetrical roof, red beams and flowery balconies comes to mind. From the month of September, the walls of the houses accommodate red peppers put out to dry.

The mountains:
More than half of Basque Country is composed of hills or of mountains above 400 meter. The mountain of Rhune is one of the symbols of the French Basque Country, and is the perfect place for hiking.

Guggenheim in Bilbao:
Do not miss a visit to the beautiful Guggenheim in Bilbao. The museum is build by the American Frank O. Gehry in 1997.

The Biarritz area

Biarritz centre is only a few minutes away on foot. The old port of Biarritz and its famous Boulevard bustle with pavement cafés and restaurants. Biarritz is a wonderful beach town with many different kinds of Architecture. The main building of interest is the Hôtel du Palais that was the private estate of Napoleon III.

Every years two festive firework events take place on the main beach, "La Grande Plage", in Biarritz on the 14th of July and the 15th of August. Biarritz has a traditional food market where local fresh products are sold; French living has a lot to do with good food! The market is open every morning including Sundays.

Other points of interest are the Rocher de la Vierge, Oceanic Museum and Fishing Port, not to mention bullfighting, 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, surfing and other water sports, horse riding, sea-water spas, theatre and ballet!

Nearby towns such as St Jean de Luz and San Sebastian, a mere 20 minute-drive away, offer a great shopping experience and have a lively nightlife. Closer to home, villa Sea and Sky has its own yoga coach, and The Hotel Miramar right next door offers Thalasso therapy; an Ayurvédique massage is available at your request !
