This modern apartment was built in 2007 and is situated in the village of Villeneuve-Les-Beziers. The apartment can sleep up to 4 (2 in lounge area using sofa bed). The apartment is on the second (top) floor of the block.
There is a large sunny south east facing balcony with pleasant views which is perfect for al fresco dining or enjoying a glass of wine. There is private underground car parking available for guests.
The village of Villeneuve-les-Beziers has all the amenities you will require on your holiday. There are a number of bars, restaurants and pizzerias, bakers, banks/cash point machine, butchers, newsagents, post office, library /media centre with free internet access, pharmacy, estate agent, doctors and tourist office.
The famous Canal du Midi flows through the village. You can spend a relaxing hour or two watching the boats pass through the locks or take a stroll or cycle along the canal banks. The village is in a excellent location for exploring the area but offers a relaxing base in which to enjoy French village life and the Canal du Midi.
Beziers is only 10 minutes away and has all the amenities that you would expect from a large town. There is an excellent daily market and famous Flower Market on Fridays. The cathedral is worth a visit and in high season there is a tourist train that takes you around Beziers and down to the Neuf Ecluses or Nine Locks at the Canal du Midi.
The area is ideal if you enjoy sightseeing, as there are many tourist attractions for all ages and interests. If you enjoy beach holidays then the apartment is only 10 minutes away from long sandy Mediterranean beaches.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region
The area offers picturesque valleys, beautiful gorges and spectacular caves are within a short drive. The area is perfect for cycling, canoeing and walking.
The Pyrenees are just over an hour away, where you can experience superb views, fine air, spa therapy and skiing.
The Pyrenees and Spanish border are only an hour away, visit Mount Canigou or one of the famous spa towns such as Amelie Les Bains.
Montpellier, the region's capital has fantastic architecture a young, vibrant atmosphere. Visit the newly built Mare Nostrum, one of the largest aquariums in France. The city of Nimes also has an interesting background, with the famous Pont du Gard aqueduct dating back to the Roman Empire.
A visit to the area would not be complete without a trip to the magnificent Cite de Carcassonne. This walled city offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and offers stunning architecture and monuments. La Cite was listed a World Heritage Site in 1997 and is not to be missed.
Beziers / Villeneuve Les Beziers area
Villeneuve-les-Beziers is a historic and typically Mediterranean village on the banks of the Canal du Midi, close to the city of Beziers and 10 minutes from long sandy beaches. The village has a number of events throughout the year such as the Jazz Festival, Local wine and food events, Harley Davidson weekend and the village's own 'Feria' or fete in July. The village has a smal weekly market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. In the nearby village of Cers (5 mins away), there is a Sunday Car Boot market which is always worth a look!
Serignan Plage is the nearest beach to Villeneuve-les-Beziers. This is a lively beach resort in peak season with a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. Other beaches in the area include Vias Plage, Portiragnes Plage and the famous Cap D’Agde which also has a nudist beach.
There are approximately 15 golf courses in the region, one of the nearest being Golf de Beziers Saint Thomas,see www.golftoday.co.uk/clubhouse/coursedir/europe/france/languedocroussillon/gstthomas.html for further information.
If you like sightseeing, Beziers which has a historic and interesting cathedral, a variety of shops and markets and the Friday Flower Market which is worth visiting. Further afield is Pezenas, a market town made famous by Moliere, and also Sete, which has a large port and fabulous seafood and fish restaurants.
How to get there
Languedoc Roussillon is well served by budget airlines. Routes include direct flights from Luton and Bristol to Beziers-Agde Airport which is approximately 5 minutes away by car/taxi.
Low cost flights are also available to Nimes, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Montpellier. All of these airports are about 1-1.5 hours away. Gerona is also an option, approximately 2.5 hours away.
Beziers has a TGV railway station and you can get there by bus from the village.
Car rental is available at both the railway station and Beziers-Agde airport.

Further details indoors: The apartment is located on the second (top) floor of the apartment building, please note that there is no lift. The car park is located on the ground floor and is accessed by an automatic door so is secure.
The apartment has a hallway with an intercom facility. Off the hall is the bathroom with shower over the bath, sink/vanity unit and washing machine. There is a separate WC across the hall and a hall cupboard.
The hall leads into the open plan living/dining area and kitchen. The balcony is accessed from the living/dining area by French doors and is equipped with patio furniture. We regret that BBQs are not permitted at this property.
The living/dining area has a double sofa bed, TV with built in DVD player (please note it is not satellite TV and only receives French channels). There is a CD/radio, DVDs, books, magazines and a wide range of tourist information about the area. There is a dining table and four chairs.
The kitchen has plenty of crockery, pans and utensils. There is also a larder fridge with icebox, electric oven, kettle, toaster and microwave.
The bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets and large built in wardrobe.
We provide bed linen, bath towels and tea towels but not beach towels.

On the outskirts of the village is a new cinema complex with a further choice of restaurants and a large Carrefour supermarket with petrol station.

A non refundable deposit of £100 is requested at the time of booking, balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. A refundable £100 damage/cleaning deposit is also required with the balance payment.
