In the Languedocienne style with its terracotta roof tiles and fully tiled floors the villa offers 2 double bedrooms one having an additional single bed and a third with a single bed. The exterior of the property is private to side and rear with a high hedge giving seclusion. The property has been fully furnished in a modern style and provides satellite TV, DVD, music centre as well as a heated pool and terrace with barbecue for outside dining. Downstairs there is a lounge diner with a separate kitchen with breakfast area and a w.c. The villa also has a bathroom with bath with overhead shower and an addional w.c.downstairs.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region
The region is ideal for those looking for a Mediterranean holiday - with the beautiful sandy beaches within easy reach, the rolling countryside full of vineyards and the mountains of the Haut Languedoc and Pyrenees providing a beautiful backdrop. With 300 days of sunshine a year it is know wonder the area has become the favourite of the French in the last 30 years. There are also some major towns to visit with Beziers on the doorstep with its colourful summer carnivals and good shopping facilities, but also Montpellier and Perpignan to explore as well as the medieval fortress of Carcassone only an hour away.
Beziers / Cers area
Cers is a quiet wine village on the outskirts of Beziers, situated between Beziers and the coast. The village itself has a number of local fetes, and Beziers is well known for the Feria in August around the 15th which goes on for 5 days, including flamenco dancing, bull fights and street parties and parades -it becomes a real centre of attraction in the South of France. There are also of course many other events such as the music festivals, the traditional Friday flower market when the town centre becomes a sea of flowers, as well of course of the celebrations around the 14th July, Bastille Day.
Valras Plage has a summer of events with many live shows for adults as well as children at the Theatre de la Mer, an open air theatre situated next to the beach and harbour. These take place from May until September. The beach is just a 10 minute drive from 'Le Coin Vert' and has ideal bathing for children with its sandy beaches and play areas. There are many restaurants and a lovely marina/harbour area to explore.
The village of Cers is situated on the Canal du Midi where it is pleasant to walk and watch the canal boats go by. There is also a local restaurant situated there which provides a good place to do this especially as it is withing walking distance. The village also provides a bar, butchers, chemists, medical centre, 3 bakers, paper shop, grocers and of course the local wine cooperative where the local wine is produced and can be purchased. There is also a large Champion supermarket at the outskirts of the village where most items can be purchased. Beziers itself has a number of commercial centres on the outskirts with large Hypermarkets and a good selection of boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
Within a few hours drive are a number of attractions, Carcassone with its medieval fortifications and a world heritage site, the Knights Templar Village of St Guilhelm le Desert, the first time I visited admittedly some years ago it was only accessible on foot or mule being some distance from a main road but it has kept its charm, or of course Millau with its now world famous road bridge - the highest in the world and higher even than the Eiffel Tower. Millau is also famous for its glove making. The Spanish border is not that far about 1.5 hrs drive and Barcelona is 3 hours by car.

-Fly to Beziers Vias airport from London Luton and Bristol airports, and also UK and International airports to Montpellier(45mins by car ), Carcassone(1 hr), Perpignan (1hr), Nimes (1hr20 mins) or Girona in Spain (2 hrs) Toulouse (2hrs 30mins) -Cheap flights available by most known carriers, Ryanair, Flybe, BMI Baby, etc as well as British Airways, Air France -Car hire available at all airports - try the cheap airlines link car hire their usually competitive. Also local main car dealers these days have good hire car rates although not always convenient for airports.

Further details indoors: The spacious lounge dining room has French patio doors as well as 2 shuttered windows that open onto the rear canopied terrace. An L-shaped sofa and two armchairs provide comfortable seating facing the stone fireplace. The satellite TV has English mainline channels amongst them BBC 1, etc. as well as local French channels. A DVD player is also available and a selection of CD''s for the music centre. There is a dining table for 6 for inside dining as well as a sideboard and wall mirror. A table and chairs are provided in the kitchen also which is fitted with Provencal units including fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric grill/oven, hob, microwave and all cutlery and utensils. All bedding is provided and linen. One of the double bedrooms has a single bed as well as the standard double.
Further details outdoors: The swimming pool is heated to maintain a constant 25 degrees plus from May to October and at over 9 by 4.5 meters provides a great place to play or enjoy for both children and adults. The pool has built in steps rather than a ladder as well as a children's shelf for smaller children. A pool alarm is fitted.
The double French doors from the lounge lead onto the rear terrace with it large canopy giving shade when dining out. There are a number fo tables for dining to the rear which has an awing and is next to the barbecue as well as on the side terrace with its pergpla - and parasol is provided. The pool area is situated to the front of the property and is alarmed, and can be overviewed from the kitchen window.

The pool is heated and can be used from the beginning of April to the end of October.
