Our lovely spacious, fully equipped holiday home is just 1 mile outside the historical town of Beziers, on the banks of the river Orb and Canal du Midi with several lovely beaches nearby. This beautiful diverse region of Languedoc, which boasts over 300 sunny days a year, has something for everyone. It has excellent transport links being well served by 3 airports within the hour and Toulouse & Girona 2 hours away. History, Culture & Beaches!! Beziers also has a main line station (TGV) Ideal for longer lets and property hunting! Excellent value
The area is surrounded by vineyards and we have mountains, lakes, gorgeous villages, canal du midi, gorges all within the hour, and nearby fantastic beaches, cafe boulevards, historical cathedral and endless things to do! .. truly something for everyone!

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region
The countryside is some of the most beautiful in the world. The weather is warm, and it's sunny nearly all year-round. And being the world's largest wine-producing area means that Languedoc wine is cheap and extremely cheerful.
There is so much to do, and places to see, the Tarn Gorges, the famous 'Canal du Midi' and the '9 locks' just 1 mile away, Carcasonne’s medieval citadel just 30 mins, plus the Haute Languedoc National Park with it’s mountain biking, walking, horse riding, and thermal spas, lakes offering windsurfing (all within the hour) ... the list is endless! Nearer home there are several lovely Mediterranean beaches with golden sand, about 9 miles away (our favourite being Serignan) Smaller family beaches and larger resort beaches easily accessible. Miles of vineyards and a beautiful golf course just outside Beziers.
Beziers is centrally situated in Languedoc and it's ideal for house hunting in the region! the area is served by 3 low budget airlines and excellent transport links, the apartment is very convenient and comfortable and offers everything you need!
Beziers area
Throughout Languedoc Béziers is known for two things in particular: wine and Rugby. Undoubtedly the best time to visit this town, which sits atop a rocky spur overlooking the great plain of the Hérault département, is during the four-day long feria when you can combine both! Béziers is also perfectly situated for excursions into the Haut Languedoc, a rugged and untamed mountainous region of picturesque stone villages and cascading mountain streams.
The imposing 12th century St Nazaire cathedral overlooks the town has some stunning views, it’s well worth a visit. The Black mountains are within an hours drive and Spain just a little further. A 20 minute walk, 5 minute drive or a jump on the bus over the road (just 1 Euro) will take you into town where you will find great restaurants, wonderful old alleys, flower market, parks, lovely shops, Olympic swimming pool, and even a bull arena, plus more.
There are several markets in Beziers and lots of festivals through out the year in both Beziers and the surrounding villages. There is an excellent tourist office in town where all the latest information can be obtained. I also have lots of information/maps/books at the apartment for your use.
How to get there
Ryan Air now fly to Beziers starting March 2008 from Bristol, we are just 15 mins from the airport!! also due to huge success for the summer months Stanstead to Beziers!!
Budget airlines fly to Carcasonne, Montpellier and Perpignan, all around 1 hours drive from airport to the apartment. A little further at 2 hours is Toulouse and Giron (northern Spain). Car Hire can be collected at airport or from Beziers train station if you arrive by train, excellent transport links from Beziers and also bus stop near apartment.

Further details indoors: The Apartment is just one of six, placed amongst villas in a nice residential area, built 15 years ago. It offers plenty of comfort and convenience. It has two lovely light double bedrooms with plenty of storage, a bathroom with shower over and a separate WC. The light and airy lounge/diner is open plan and leads onto a large sunny balcony. The kitchen is open plan and fully fitted with a full electric cooker, hob & extractor plus fridge, microwave and washing machine. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer are all supplied. Everything is at the apartment that you could possibly require, and it is very clean and modern. We have our own private small garden/driveway behind attractive iron gates, quite unique for an apartment in the Beziers region. There is outside furniture both in the garden and on the balcony to make the most of the outside space. The river Orb is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment with its lovely old water mill. The property is accessed via the back, a small cul de sac of a few villas, so there are no stairs. In a residential area surrounded by villas, yet near all the conveniences of a large town, and the gorgeous beaches, both family orientated or larger resort style beaches, the closest being approx 5 miles away. Fabulous area offering something for everyone in the lovely Languedoc, which boasts over 300 sunny days a year. You have the 'best of both worlds' staying in a lovely residential area and just 1 mile outside a historical town which has everything you could wish for. You can take a short cut into town, around 15-20 minutes walk or even jump on a bus over the road. The famous '9 locks' are just a mile away with it's lovely viaduct, lovely walks along the Canal Du Midi, you will be spoilt by the choice of wineries in the area. We are centrally located in a gorgeous area offering lakes, beaches, mountains, gorges, picturesque villages plus much much more ..
Changeovers can be flexible in length of stay allowing you to take full advantage of cheaper mid week flights. Extra days can be added to a full week to suit at no more than the pro rata rate. No smoking please, there is plenty of outside space, the front balcony and back garden. No animals. A new travel cot has been supplied and is complimentary, if required. To keep my rental rates as reasonable as possible, a small winter supplement of £15 for the whole apartment per week is charged october to march. All electricity/water/heating (if necessary) is unmetred and unlimited.
We have our own private small garden/driveway behind attractive iron gates, quite unique for an apartment in the Beziers region. There is also a BBQ so you can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful weather! Garden furniture both in the small garden and in front on the terrace/balcony.
A lovely comfortable apartment for a longer term let where every convenience is offered including televeision offering english channels (not guaranteed should weather disrupt) washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen, not just for a holiday let, it is truly a home from home with many testaments to the comfort offered.

A deposit of 25% of the rental is required with the balance being paid 8 weeks prior to commencement.
There is £100 refundable security deposit to be paid with the balance. The property is to be left perfectly clean upon your departure (everything is supplied for convenience)
linen/changeover fee per booking; preparation of apartment prior to your arrival by my agent & departure inspection to include checking of cleaning/inventory and to prepare bed/s with fresh linen and to launder at the end of your stay; £35 for 1-2 people (one room), £50 for 3-4 people (2 bedrooms)
for convenience, towels can be provided for a small extra charge and 'end of stay' cleaning can be arranged at an extra cost please enquire and arrange this at time of booking, this is entirely optional.
Many complimentary items have also been included, for your convenience, but cannot be guaranteed (I stock up when I'm there) washing powder, liquid, loo rolls, etc. (all cleaning materials supplied for your convenience)
