"Lovely period cottage but a little worn"
Whilst it is easy to appreciate the period features in Siskin Cottage, the fixtures and fittings could do with updating. Damaged kitchen cupboards, repaired bath panel, very worn sofas, both in loung… More
In Response to your comments:
There is 1 damaged kitchen cupboard where people have left the boling kettle underneath it. The bath panel has a 2 inch crack which has been glued as the corner bath was a special order and very tricky to replace.
The floor in the sitting room is a 350 year old red brick flooring with a sea grass mat in the middle. This type of floor should not be covered up as it needs to be left to breathe.
The 1 stain on it was left by a previous guests dog.
The hob dials are worn due to the level of cleaning, the oven buttons are fine.
We will check if the sofas need cleaning and get them cleaned if required.(As a rule, they get cleaned twice a year) We do not think it is unacceptable to expect dog owners not to let their dogs on the sofas for future guests.
We would advise that in the future, these guests would be more suited to a modern property.
