"Thouroughly enjoyed it."
This was our third visit to this lovely traditional cottage as before we were delighted with the accomadition we found it very clean and welcoming with plenty of space. Our family consisted of different age groups and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The boys enjoyed playing out doors on the mini football table. Another well worth trip.

"Ideal for both those who want quiet relaxation and those who wish to explore the area."
Set in picturesque countryside this comfortable accomodation is,suitably equipped as either a touring base or a relaxing hideaway. Pleasent walks for those who wish it and just a short car ride to the attractions of Le Touquet, Etaples and Montreuil. We have been in both winter and spring< in winter it was warm and cosy and in spring offers the oppertunity for pleasent al fresco dining.

"Rustic charm, cosy cottage"
If you are after a quiet, rural retreat that is still within a short distance of civilisation, then this is the place for you! The cottage is well equipped and spacious - we were two families sharing with a child each. Loved the cosy lounge with it's log burner and the kitchern with it's great big table. And the beds were very comfortable - usually a bone of contention wherever we go, but not here!!! The surrounding area is beautiful, really wasn't prepared for this, being so close to Calais. The coast between Calais and Boulogne is stunning and aptly named the Opal coast.Living on the Devon /Cornwall border we have high expectations of beaches and weren't disappointed with what we found here - wide sandy beaches with crystal blue sea. Lots of history that kept our two boys interested, especially the nearby military cemetery at Etaples and the blockhaus museum and Cap Nez Blanc. All village amenities including a Carrefour supermarket are available at Hucqueliers. We were blessed with perfect weather - sunny but cold and we saw the region at it's best - bet it is beautiful in the Summer. Would be happy to return and stay in the cottage again - many thanks

"Fab gite, fab location and perfect for families to enjoy time together."
We travelled to the gite in the first week of the summer holidays and although we were expecting a horrific journey, found the gite easily thanks to good directions from owners. The area was only 1 hrs drive from Calais yet a whole different way of life.
We found we were all relaxed and our 3 sons age 14, 12 and 7 re-discovered board games and hide and seek ( as opposed to video games), There is a great pool/snooker table in the games room along with loads of other games and toys.
The location is great and within easy reach of loads of interesting places, including beaches, waterparks and beautiful little sleepy villages.
Owners were very informative of local area and gave us great some great ideas of what to see and do.
We went to disneyland Paris for one of the days and although it took a few hours to get there it was well worth a trip however maybe should be part of a 2 day trip as quite far to travel for 1 day.
We had a couple of barbeques on the lovely private patio area whilst the kids played.
The only thing I can be negative about is the fact that there was no grass for the kids to play on however there is a large gravelled area and 3 different seating area's so we were able to chase the sun round.
The house has loads of character and is really well equipped.
We were very impressed with the small welcome pack left by the owners so we did not have to visit the shops on arrival.
We will revisit this gite and will be recommending this to family and friends.
A big thank you to the owners from The Musgrove's.

"A wonderful Christmas in a lovely cottage"
We stayed at the cottage near Beussent over Christmas with our two grown-up children and granddad who had never holidayed outside the UK before! We were all looking forward to spending a family holiday together, which we hadn't done for quite a few years, and even though I was looking forward to it so much, it exceeded my expectations. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The cottage itself is gorgeous; there is a lovely farmhouse kitchen that is so well equipped, even for organising Christmas dinner. The bedrooms are cosy downstairs, and so quaint upstairs, with a lovely play area for children (used also by our 20 and 23 year olds!) The lounge with its wonderful log burner was perfect - an idyllic way to spend a family Christmas playing games and having the odd glass or two! We have holidayed numerous times over the years in France, but usually the South or South West, so didn't know this area at all. It is so accessible from the tunnel and yet feels as though you are in the middle of France. It is tranquil and beautiful and I can't wait to go back to experience spring or summer here. Sonya and John, the property owners were on site over the Christmas period and could not do enough for us, even decorating the house for the festive period. To sum up we had the best Christmas we have had in years and can't wait to return. Thank you from all of us.

"Fantastic spacious family cottage with lots of character"
It speaks volumes that we spent our third consecutive family holiday at this beautiful cottage in a fabulous country location. The property is just perfect, spacious, well equiped and spotlessly clean. It is also full of character with a wood burning stove in the living area, which thanks to lots of sunny days, we didn't have to use. The lovely courtyard was ideal for sunbathing and having the odd barbie or two.
There is plenty of great golf courses nearby which made my husband very happy. He especially loved Le Touquet and Hardelot which he described as exceptional. There are lots of great eating places in the area and the local people are very friendly and helpfull. There are lovely places to shop in nearby towns, as well plenty of local markets.
I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough and look forward to returning.

"Lovely area to visit nice place to stay"
Had a lovely holiday here this August. The weather was not up to the usual standard but mainly dry and a couple of really warm days. So much to see and do but you do have to drive a bit but the countryside is beautiful and beaches really lovely. The Owners where there while we where there and very welcoming and helpful. We did a train trip to Paris for the day, long day out for the children but well worth it. House is large and great big kitchen to share meals of fresh bread and cheese with. The channel tunnel was a cool experience and journey from there to house easy and direct. Overall great holiday
