Open all year round, The Eagles Bunkhouse lies on the first and second floor of a grand C19th building in the peaceful village of Penmachno, near Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia.

The luxury bunkhouse sleeps up to 30 in 9 private rooms. There are 6 rooms with two 3' bunks sleeping 4, 1 room with one 3' bunk sleeping 2 and 2 rooms with two single beds.

All rooms are centrally heated with tea and coffee making facilities; duvets, pillows and sheets are supplied.

The bunkhouse has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, a bathroom, two shower cubicles and two washrooms.

A drying room and secure storage for bikes etc are also available.

A large room is available at no charge for meetings, lectures or social events.

Free WiFi is available.

On the ground floor of the building is a traditional bar, with log-burning stove, where you will hear Welsh spoken and maybe even sung, when it's late enough; a perfect setting for relaxing after a hard day in the hills. If it's a chat with locals and a great pint at a great price you want, then this is the place to relax. Local cask conditioned ales always on tap.

There is a large beer garden and patio to the rear of the building with seating.

The peaceful village of Penmachno lies at the heart of Snowdonia in a secluded valley, four miles from Betws-y-coed.

For walkers and climbers, Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Glyders, in fact, all of the Welsh 3000ft peaks are within 15 miles.

For canoeists, the Conwy, Llugwy, Lledr and Ogwen are only a short drive away.

For mountain-bikers, the world class Penmachno track is half a mile away.

The Marin track at Llanrwst, Antur Stiniog at Blaenau Ffestiniog and Coed-y-Brenin are easily accessible.

The cottage sits on the edge of the village and is surrounded by the Gwydyr forest with endless forest walks and horse-riding stables nearby. The beautiful Conwy Falls lies 2 miles away.

"Excellent value, nice accommodation and excellent hosts."
