Bodgwynedd, a character, detached stone-built cottage, built in the early 1800's, with soli fuel stoves, offers warm and comfortable accommodation all year round in the attractive, sleepy village of Penmachno and makes a great base from which to explore the hill and forest walks in the surrounding area or indeed the whole of Snowdonia.

The cottage sleeps 4-6 in two bedrooms: a family room (double bed and 2'6" bunks) and a double bedroom both with Freesat combiTV/video. There is an adjacent shower room with heated floor and towel-rail and rainfall shower, basin and WC.

It has a fitted kitchen/diner with solid fuel stove (which can supply the central heating system), electric cooker, microwave, fridge. The utility room has washing machine and freezer and access to small private paved area with bench.

There is a comfortable sitting room with wood-burning stove,TV with FreeSat, DVD and free WiFi. The cottage is heated by storage heaters.

Elecrtricity and starter pack of fuel for stove included in rent . Bed linen and towels provided. Travel cot and highchair available on request.

Roadside parking alongside the cottage.

The cottage is within a minutes walk of The Eagles Ale-house.

The peaceful village of Penmachno lies at the heart of Snowdonia National Park in a secluded valley, four miles from Betws-y-coed.

For walkers and climbers, Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Glyders, in fact, all of the Welsh 3000ft peaks are within 15 miles.

For canoeists, the Conwy, Llugwy, Lledr and Ogwen are only a short drive away.

For mountain-bikers, the world class Penmachno track is half a mile away.

The Marin track at Llanrwst, Antur Stiniog and Coed-y-Brenin are easily accessible.

North Wales' most beautiful beaches lie 40 minutes drive to the north and west.

Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries. Betws-y-Coed has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Tree Top Adventure High Ropes Course, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast's many sandy beaches and historic towns.

Betws-y-Coed

The cottage sits on the edge of the village and is surrounded by the Gwydyr forest with endless forest walks and horse-riding stables nearby. The beautiful Conwy Falls lies 2 miles away.
