Home description

Valencia has everything, beaches, night life, shopping, the sun and the famous science complex and the villa complements this with rural surroundings and only the sound of birds to wake you in the morning. The property is spacious and tastefully decorated. Two terraces and two gardens with palm, orange, lemon and olive trees. You can combine two holidays in one with us. Fully- walled with double gate and discreetly hidden by palms and orange groves, an elevated swimming pool- but not recommended for young children- and barbecue. Lots of squirrels around in the trees. IMPORTANT POINT. For the fit ,the villa is only 25mins on foot- 5 mins by car from the metro station in Betera and you can be in Valencia centre or beach in 25 mins. For golf people there´s a world class course (escorpion) only 2 miles away next to the village.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region

The villa is only 12 kms. from Valencia city which was founded by the Romans. Typical mediterranean climate. Valencia city has undergone a rennaiscance recently and hosted the America´s cup this year and will repeat n 2009. Visit the oceanografic- the aquarium and the science complex or stroll along the 7 kms. of river gardens or have a drink or meal in the old town- famous for its night life. The villa is near Betera and is ideal for those who prefer rural to urban surroundings. Beautiful mountains for walking nearby and the beaches only 15 mins. by car. Two national parks within 30 mins. by car. Further afield -Chulilla, amazing medieaval town with castle and the best lamb chops in the world! Nearby is Chelva - great adventure walks for the kids, water, mountains and castles. Moorish castles are to be seen too.

Betera area

A must see is the Betera fiesta in August (from the 15th) floral displays, open-air concerts, fireworks and theatre in an ideal summer setting, famous names perform here every year. Nearby is the Garbi the highest mountain in the region for those who enjoy hiking. Paterna at 6 kms has a crazy fire festival too in August. If you hang out at the villa you´ll see squirrels scurrying up the trees and you can watch the roses grow or pick lemons from the trees! Nearby Farnals provides the beach people with fine white sand and good places to eat and don´t forget Valencia city. Leave the car at Betera and take the metro, it´s cheap and will take you to the centre or the beach

How to get there

Easyjet from Bristol and London and Ryanair from London airports, JET2.COM from Leeds and Ryanair from East Midlands and the South Coast. Try also Clickair -the new low cost from Iberia Airlines. BA FLIGHTS TOO.Hertz and Europcar from Valencia Airport are well priced but I recommend booking a car in the UK. The villa is 15 mins. from Valencia airport on excellent roads.

Three bedrooms, one double and two singles, bathroom in house and a toilet and shower at end of garden for use after pool . Designer kitchen fully equipped and large, spacious, airy living room. Decorated rustically and tastefully. Plenty of wardrobe space. Floors tiled in Mediterranean style. Large windows all with shutters and blinds for those hot days. White painted exterior and a barbecue area. The elevated pool is at the back of the house. Self-contained for your privacy. Front terrace is shaded by palms. Quiet guaranteed.

Further details outdoors:
Two gardens, at the back -all grass for sunbathing or relaxation in the sun. The elevated pool is here and the bbq.The surrounding area is woody, ideal for walks and the little town of Betera is 15 mins. away on foot where you can find some nice locals in the bars and restaurants. Recommended is the fiesta of Betera toward the end of August. The mountains are only a twenty minute drive away in the calderona national park, they can be seen from the villa. Many day trip opportunities either beach or mountains and new kiddies´theme park in Betera town including adventure activities and animal area.
