Goldcrest Cottage has a stylish modern country kitchen, with electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster and butchers block. The kitchen leads directly into the dining room with a large light oak table and six chairs. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying a family meal after a long day sight seeing.
From the dining room there is a passage leading through to the ground floor family bathroom with bath, over bath shower, basin and WC. The bathroom is light and spacious with modern fittings.
The sitting room boasts a wonderful log burning fire and over looks the small picturesque village. There is a TV, DVD player and a dock for an MP3 player.
Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom, with a large sleigh bed and antique wardrobe. Again with views out to the village.
On the first floor there are two further bedrooms, the master with a king-size bed and a twin room with an en-suite. The upstairs bedrooms have sea views overlooking Holy Island.
The cottage has free wireless broadband internet access and all linen and towels are included in the rental fee.

There is a small garden to the front of the cottage with mature shrubs and a westerly facing bench to enjoy the sunsets.
To the rear there is a beautiful garden with lawn, trees and shrubs. There is a graveled drive and private garage, and there is also wooden outdoor garden furniture with table and seating for six people and a BBQ.

Conditions
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance is to be paid six weeks prior to your arrival date.
The Northern England / Northumberland region
Northumberland is England's most northerly county, and is home to many historic homes and castles, beautiful countryside and rolling hills, glorious beaches and picturesque villages and towns.
Northumberland can be explored by car, on foot or bicycle. Each year thousands of people flock to the area for hiking and cycling, as it has many paths and routes to follow.
For those preferring to travel a little by car, there are many ancient market towns in which to shop for local produce, such as Berwick upon Tweed, Alnwick and Morpeth. For beaches Bamburgh is hard to beat and for the local catch, Craster and Seahouses are the perfect places to find fresh local seafood.
Northumberland also has its National Park, Kielder Water and Forest and many other areas of outstanding natural beauty. The county is a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels, otters, badgers, dear, rare wild birds and a magnificent seal colony around the the Farne Islands.
The climate is often bright and warm in the summer months and cool in the winter months.
The Berwick-Upon-Tweed / Fenwick area
The village of Fenwick is only a few miles from the coast and the beautiful beach which runs onto the causeway of Holy Island. Holy Island is one of the areas most historic visitor attractions, and is home to both Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory.
The village of Bamburgh is only 9 miles away, with many delightful cafes and restaurants, a beautiful beach and the famous Bamburgh Castle.

Travelling South
Fenwick is located 9 miles South of Berwick upon Tweed on the A1. After passing Berwick, after 7 miles you will see a sign post for Holy Island and a petrol station, carry on South on the A1 for a further 2 miles and you will see a sign post for Fenwick.
Fenwick is ½ mile West of the A1 and Goldcrest Cottage is the second of four stone cottages on the right just as you enter the village.
Travelling North
Fenwick is located 20 miles North or Alnwick on the A1. After passing Alnwick, after 17 miles you will see a sign post for Belford (West of the A1) and a Grain Mill (East of the A1), carry on North for further 3 miles and you will see a sign post for Fenwick. As you travel on the A1, at this point, Holy Island is visible off the coast.
Fenwick is ½ mile West of the A1 and Goldcrest Cottage is the second of four stone cottages on the right just as you enter the village.
