6 Pier Maltings
About the home
6 Pier Maltings is a five star luxury townhouse in a conversion of an old Maltings building on Berwick's harbourside. It has fantastic sea views from every window, towards Holy Island and Bamburgh.
The living space is extremely spacious, with many period features - original roof beams, polished wood floor boards, and deep window sills. It is furnished to an exceptional standard, with luxury bathrooms, designer soft furnishings, contemporary fitted kitchen with integrated Siemens appliances, WiFi and highly effective central heating.
The accommodation is arranged over three floors. There are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground and first floor. On the second floor there is a spectacular 30 foot living/dining area, with a glass-sided mezzanine in the roof space with stunning views. The house is luxuriously furnished, with deep sofas and armchairs to sink into and super comfy beds. If you can take your eyes off the view, there is a 40” tv screen and Home Cinema.
From the house, it is just a short stroll to the beach and Berwick pier, or to the famous Elizabethan walls which encircle the town. Pier Road is quiet and peaceful, but the town centre is in walking distance, with an interesting range of coffee shops, restaurants and little shops. There are excellent rail links to Edinburgh and Newcastle, and Berwick is an ideal centre for exploring the Heritage Coast and the Scottish Borders.

BookThe Northern England / Northumberland region
NorthEast England is one of the most beautiful areas of England, and the least visited - you will find less traffic here than in the South of England, and more friendliness. Northumberland is a predominantly rural landscape, with the rolling hills of the Cheviot range to the West, and a fantastic coastline to the East. There are several walking trails in the area, including St Cuthberts Way and the North Sea Coastal Trail. There are excellent golf courses, both links courses and inland, as well as fishing, horse riding, diving, birdwatching and lots more!
The Berwick-Upon-Tweed area
Berwick-upon-Tweed is an atmospheric seaside town, located on the English / Scottish border. From its historic Elizabethan town walls to its delightful coffee houses and small shops, Berwick is full of character with lots to explore.
There are good local services, including a leisure centre and swimming pool, a lively theatre/cinema, night clubs and restaurants. The coastline from Berwick down to Holy Island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with wonderful beaches and nature walks. Local activities include horse riding, fishing, golfing, hiking, bird watching and water sports. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle of Harry Potter fame are within easy reach. On the Scottish side of the Border are the charming fishing villages of Eyemouth and St Abbs, and other attractions in the Scottish Borders There is an excellent rail service from Berwick – Edinburgh or Newcastle are just half an hour away..
