Number Nine offers accessible luxury with lift access right in the heart of historic Berwick-upon-Tweed. Part of a new conversion of an eighteenth century Chapel House, it combines period details - such as beamed ceilings and arched windows - with state of the art central heating and luxury furnishings. There are delightful roof-top views over the town, and a lift if you don't do stairs! It has a quiet, peaceful location, though it is only a two minute stroll to the town centre . There is an allocated parking space beside the building.

The accommodation is light and spacious, with a large living / dining area, and a contemporary fitted kitchen to one side. In the living area, there's a leather sofa and armchairs, a 42" tv, dvd and soundbar, and free WiFi, and dining table and chairs for four. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed and the second bedroom has a queen-size double; both bedrooms have top quality Comfort mattresses to ensure a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom has a bath with shower over.
Need two singles? an excellent quality airbed is also supplied.
From the house, it is just a short stroll to the town centre, with an interesting range of coffee shops, restaurants and little shops to explore. The famous Elizabethan walls which encircle the town are close by, and the beach and Berwick pier are in walking distance. . There are excellent rail links to Edinburgh and Newcastle, and Berwick is an ideal centre for exploring the Heritage Coast and the Scottish Borders.

There are excellent golf courses, both links courses and inland, as well as fishing, horse riding, diving, birdwatching and lots more!
Berwick-upon-Tweed is an atmospheric seaside town, located on the English / Scottish border. From its historic Elizabethan town walls to its delightful coffee houses and small shops, Berwick is full of character with lots to explore.
There are good local services, including a leisure centre and swimming pool, a lively theatre/cinema, night clubs and restaurants. The coastline from Berwick down to Holy Island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with wonderful beaches and nature walks. Local activities include horse riding, fishing, golfing, hiking, bird watching and water sports. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle of Harry Potter fame are within easy reach. On the Scottish side of the Border are the charming fishing villages of Eyemouth and St Abbs, and other attractions in the Scottish Borders There is an excellent rail service from Berwick – Edinburgh or Newcastle are just half an hour away..

Fantastic stylish apartment in newly converted building close to Berwick Town Hall. Tasteful decor, with home comforts, huge tv, and thoughtful touches, including brilliant reading material, scrabble and cookery books. All the facilities first class.
On Sunday the sun shone and we took a walk around the Lowry Trail on the old Elizabethan Walls, looked at the Estuary teeming with birdlife - including a flock of flying swans. Inspiring scenery, friendly town, great base for exploring the beautiful Northumberland countryside.
