This terraced stone cottage is part of a modern development that was built on an old farm site. It has views to the east coast with Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne in the distance. The seashore is just a five minute walk away as is the village of Spittal with restaurants, public house and shops. The property is over two floors and provides comfortable, well furnished accommodation. The sitting room is tastefully decorated and has an electric fire. The spacious, well fitted kitchen has a dining area and there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. Outside there is a lawned area to the front and side of the property with a barbecue area and seating. The cottage is an ideal base to see both the Scottish borders and Northumberland.

Note: Access to the cottage is along a 300 metre unmade farm track.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Berwick upon Tweed

Berwick-upon-Tweed is the most northerly town in England, in the past it has changed hands between Scotland and England no less than 14 times. Today this coastal town offers an interesting place to explore with its narrow streets within the Elizabethan walls. There are walks along the walls where the views over the coast and river estuary are spectacular. Berwick has a diversity of shops, supermarkets, public houses and restaurants. The Maltings Art Centre has a comprehensive calendar of cultural events including theatre, cinema and live music. Berwick has very good public transport links and there are frequent trains to Edinburgh and Newcastle. For outdoor activities, fishing, horse riding and golf are all available nearby. Spittal, a coastal resort, is two miles away and boasts lovely sandy beaches.
