Situated in the heart of popular Prenzlauer Berg, this attractive Berlin apartment makes shopping and sightseeing a convenient pleasure during your short stay. The beauty of the interior lies in its simplicity; opal white walls combine with wooden floors and retro furnishings to create a universal charm. With some superb nightspots, restaurants and shops on your doorstep, (two supermarkets organic and normal, just 1 min away) you will be spoilt for choice by day and night in the very heart of the most beautiful neighbourhood in Berlin, where most of the buildings were not damaged by the bombings of WW2.

Neighbourhood and location:

The über-cool Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood of Berlin is a hit with Berliner locals and artists for its superb vintage shopping, Mauerpark's famed fleamarket, and brunch cafés.

About the area: Countless pubs, restaurants, cafés, galleries and little shops create a day and nightlife atmosphere unrivalled in the rest of Berlin. Along with Schöneberg and Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg is a focal point of the Berlin art scene. Along with Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg it is also a popular neighbourhood with the student population.

Prenzlauer Berg is one of the most popular central districts in Berlin and one of the prettiest neighbourhoods, still central, yet quieter than Berlin Mitte. Much of Prenzlauer Berg escaped damage in the second world war and post war redevelopment. Nowadays Prenzlauer Berg offers trendy shopping with many street style fashion designers selling their wares in trendy boutiques.

Public Transportation:

Excellent public transport connections take you into Mitte in just few minutes, where you can visit main Berlin attractions, such as Alexanderplatz, Museum Island or Hackescher Markt. Nearby S-Bahn: Prenzlauer Allee (S8, S41, S42, S85); Nearby U-Bahn: Schönhauser Allee (U2).

Suitable for visitors of the Fair:

The apartment, although apparently far on the map, is also well connected to the fair Berlin-Messe, that can be reached with the line 42 in just 25 minutes. The Tram M2, that can be taken at S-Prenzlauerallee, takes in a few minutes to Alexanderplatz. The apartment is also reachable directly from the airport without having to change train (s9)

We look forward to your visit and hope that you have a great time in Berlin! Do not be shy to ask me if you have any questions.

In the apartment you have two large rooms of the same size, in addition to a corridor, a kitchen and a bathroom.

The two rooms are completely independent one from the other: from each if it the occupants can reach the kitchem the bathroom or even go outside without disturbing those who sleep in the other room.

In each room there are two double beds or sofabeds, for a total of 4 sleeping places in each room. One of the sofabeds can be turned, at will, into two single beds.

One of the two rooms can be used as a livingroom during the day (there are two sofas). We just installed a new TV with some english channels, too!

SINCE JAN 1st 2014 BERLIN HAS INTRODUCED A "TOURIST TAX" (5% of the Netto Price + VAT). THIS TAX IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE CALCULATED BY THE SITE AND HAS TO BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE APARTMENT OWNER. I WILL CALCULATE THE TAX AMOUNT FOR YOU AND LET YOU KNOW BEFORE YOU COME TO BERLIN. (It's usually not a lot, between 10€ and 25€ per booking)

"Nice, comfortable apartment"

This was a nice apartment in a nice neighborhood. My husband and I stayed here with our five children for several days during the Easter break. There is a grocery store right down the street, and it&#… More

Thank you very much for the lovely review, it was a pleasure to have you as guests!

I allow myself to disagree on a point of your review, which I think could be misleading for the future guests. The apartment is indeed situated in an area which is renowned to have one of the highest and most complete gastronomic offers of the whole city. There's much more than a slice of pizza that this neighbourhood can offer! There's not much around the Planetarium, true, but on the other side, walking in direction Helmotzplatz and Schönhauseralle, you have all restaurants, bars and cafés that one can wish. All reachable from 1 to 10 max minutes walk from the apartment. That's what Prenzlauer Berg, and in particular this area of Prenzlauer Berg, is since many years famous for!

There's also more than a grocery sore to buy food near the apartment. At the end of the street you have two big supermarkets, a normal and an organic one!

Thank you again for everything! See you hopefully next time
