We are located in the city district of Mitte directly bordering on Kreuzberg at the “Engelbecken,” a group of water basins with fountains and a rose garden, as well as the ruins of the St. Michaels Church.

Parking spaces are available on the street for free as well as in the parking garage for a nominal fee.

The “Engelbecken” has an interesting history, originally being built circa 1850 as the centerpiece of a large park designed by Lenné.

The St. Michaels Church was built between 1851 and 1856 by August Soller and Friedrich Stüler. For a long period of time, the „Engelbecken“ was out of commission – due to its being filled and incorporated into the border area between East and West Berlin. After the Fall of the Wall, the area was again open to public use, and Berlin began its new landscaping project in 1993.

The fallow western area once again has apartment buildings on it and the Heinrich-Heine-Forum was formed by integrating the listed Shinkels Riding and Exercise Center into the project.

The U-Bahn (subway) station Moritzplatz or Heinrich-Heine-Strasse, both on the U8 line, are about 400 meters away. The S-Bahn (above ground metro) station Jannowitzbrücke is about 600 meters away.

Oranienstrasse and Oranienplatz are both easy to reach in less than 5 minutes.

There are very many small bars, cafes, corner pubs, snack bars, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets all within walking distance.

At the Jannowitzbrücke (Jannowitz Bridge) is a dock where sightseeing boats start their trip up and down the Spree River, and the famous Museum Island is also not far.

Potsdamer Platz can be reached in around 10 minutes with the number 347 Bus.
