About the home

Casa Miró has been reformed and you will now find a very modern house with outdoor swimming pool and in totak eight bedroms (7 double and one triple) and 7 bathrooms. The interior design is beautiful since the owners has a brilliant sence for the details. The garden is large and has plenty of room for playing ball. The outdoor BBQ provides the perfect spot for the long warm summer nights.

The house provides a perfect base for relaxation and a place you will love to return to after a long day discovering Catalonia. The nearest town Gironella is only three km. away. It is a cosy town with a lively shopping street on one side of the Llobregat river and with the antique village centre and the cathedral on the other side, where the weekly market day takes place.

12 km. to the regional capitol Berga (shopping, restaurants and bars) , 40 km. to Manresa where you´ll se the mountains of Montesserat and 40 km. to the beautiful maintained historical town Vic, with it´s traditional Market on the Main Square: every Tuesday and Saturday in the morning (10-14).

In 2008, Josep and Silvia have reformed the house, by changing the antique unused stable to a new part with three new double rooms with bathrooms en suite, a big, open kitchen , a beautiful dining table, high quality lounge furniture and best of all, panorama windows provides you with a beautiful view over the area. The changes has extended the capacity from 11 persons 17 persons in 7 double rooms (5 with bathrooms en suite) and a triple room. All changes have been made with respect for the original building, and unite perfectly antique and modern.

The house is very privately situated, as nearest neighbour is 300 metres away. It has a large garden with a big lawn. There is a covered terrace close to the swimming pool, and a new terrace is being constructed close to the dining room and the kitchen.

By cancellation more than 1 1/2 month before 50% of the deposit will be refunded. By cancellation less than 1 1/2 month before, the deposit will not be refunded.

The price includes: electricity, heating, linen, towels and the final cleaning be departure.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

The house which is an authentic Catalan limestone villa, modernised with respect for the original style, is situated in the Bergueda region, where the Llobregat-river winds it is way from the mountains down toward Barcelona. The house provides a perfect base for relaxation. Read a book, take a swim in the pool and enjoy the hot summer nights on the terrace with a glass of the local cava or red wine from the nearby Penedes district.

The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest, which provides excellent conditions for a variety of sports- and outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, angling, canoeing, river crafting or perhaps a visit to the owners farm.

Furthermore the central location in Catalonia makes every corner of province accessible in one-day excursions. From the Dali-museum in the north, the Costa Brava coastline and Barcelona in the south and further south Tarragon with its amphitheatre and universal studios amusement park for the kids. A generous and cosy region, with true cultural, gastronomical, artistic, historical, traditional and legendary treasures. Also a region for the playful who loves sport activities.

In the winter, the ski-resorts in Andorra and the Pyrenees is only a 45 minutes drive away. In the summer you can enjoy the tracks of the Pyrenees or for the adventures paragliding or climbing.
The spring (march-may) in Catalonia is sunny, green and comfortable warm. The daily temp. reaches 16-22 degrees.

The autumn (Sep.-Nov) is very warm in the beginning (Sep.) with a daily average temp. reaching 27 degrees. October and November has an average temp. starting at 22 in October ending with 17 in November.

Distances: Barcelona 95 km. - Costa Brava 110 km. - Andorra 100 km - shops and restaurants: 3 km. - Beach 100 km.

Gironella: 3 km from Casa Móli:
A cosy little town at the bank of the river Llobregat. We provide a map of shops, restaurants and good places to shop for grocery

Berga:10 km. from casa Móli:
Quite a large town on the edge of the
Pyrenees, where you’ll find big supermarkets, really nice restaurants,
shopping areas, and bars. It is also a very pretty town with many really
good sites.

Manresa: 30 km. from Casa Móli
The largest nearby town with 66.879 inh. By experiencing the history of Manresa, you will also experience the history of Cataloniaas they both coincided in their moments of greatest splendour. Manresais a town which
has been shaped by its three most intense historic moments: . There are plenty of restaurants, bars and discothèques in Manresa.

Vic:40 km from Casa Móli.
A beautiful maintained historical town., also mentioned as the most Catalan town in Catalonia. Traditional Market on the Main Square: every Tuesday and Saturday in the morning (10-14) (See photo J) The town has plenty of discothèques and bars that the young ones can attend.

Barcelona, Girona and Costa Brava is all situated around 100 km. from the house. We are willing to pass on our tips regarding these cities if you should be interested.
