About the home

The principal structure of the house dates from 1711. during the XIX century, new buildings were added to the original house, giving its present look. In 2005 the house Casa Alberda were fully restored and a brilliant architect did a perfect job restoring it into a luxury holiday home. Alberda has 7 doublerooms all with private bathrooms and hydro-massage cabins, 43 m2 livingroom, with fire place, TV and stereo, playingroom, outdoor covered BBQ, fully equipped kithen with micoowen and washing machine. The outdoor has a large swiimingpool , private tennis court and a large playground. A groundfloor gameroom holds table football and table tennis. From 2010, there will be wireless internet in the house.

The house is located at Serrateix high plateau, at 765m, it has priviliged views of the Pre-Pyrenees mountains, the Montseny and the Montserrat massif. Casa Alberda is surronded by argricultural fields, holme-oak woods, that isolate it and gives it charming and unique atmosphere.

The interor design is modern and has a very, very high standard. It has one large dining area and 3 seating areas whereas one has a fireplace. Really a stunning holidayhome for the really chosy guest who wants the ultimate vacation base.

Further details outdoors:
The swimming pool area is large and has sunbeds for everybody. A large graslane makes football possible and the huge playground will chill the small children

By ekstra payment it is possible to put up 5 ekstra beds in the house. Please contact for further details.

40% deposit paid in advance within 8 days after reservation.
By cancellation more than 1 1/2 month before 50% of the deposit will be refunded. By cancellation less than 1 1/2 month before, the deposit will not be refunded.
The price includes: electricity, heating, linen, towels and the final cleaning be departure.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

The house which is an authentic Catalan limestone villa, modernised with respect for the original style, is situated in the Bergueda region, where the Llobregat-river winds it is way from the mountains down toward Barcelona. The house provides a perfect base for relaxation. Read a book, take a swim in the pool and enjoy the hot summer nights on the terrace with a glass of the local cava or red wine from the nearby Penedes district.

The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest, which provides excellent conditions for a variety of sports- and outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, angling, canoeing, river crafting or perhaps a visit to the owners farm.

Furthermore the central location in Catalonia makes every corner of province accessible in one-day excursions. From the Dali-museum in the north, the Costa Brava coastline and Barcelona in the south and further south Tarragon with its amphitheatre and universal studios amusement park for the kids. A generous and cosy region, with true cultural, gastronomical, artistic, historical, traditional and legendary treasures. Also a region for the playful who loves sport activities.

In the winther, the ski-resorts in Andorra and the Pyrenees is only a 45 minutes drive away. In the summer you can enjoy the tracks of the Pyrenees or for the adventures paragliding or climbing.
The spring (march-may) in Catalonia is sunny, green and comfortable warm. The daily temp. reaches 16-22 degrees.

The autumn (Sep.-Nov) is very warm in the beginning (Sep.) with a daily average temp. reaching 27 degrees. October and November has an average temp. starting at 22 in October ending with 17 in November.

The Bergueda / Puig-Reig area

Puig-Reig: 8 km. A very nice village with 5 restaurants, shopping possibilities, Cafe´s and a excellent baker.

Gironella: 12 km from Alberda
A cosy little town at the bank of the river Llobregat. We provide a map of shops, restaurants and good places to shop for grocery

Berga:15 km. from Casa Alberda:
Quite a large town on the edge of the
Pyrenees, where you’ll find big supermarkets, really nice restaurants,
shopping areas, and bars. It is also a very pretty town with many really
good sites and a saturday market.

Manresa: 10 km.
The biggest town in the region. Shopping centre, shooping Mall, a nice old town

The casa rented was very great. We, 7 adults and 9 children, had a great time. No worries about dangerous spots in or around Casa Alberda for our children. We really liked the interior and the exterior.
