You enter the house from the front of a beautifully made entrance. previously, it was common to have the animals in the ground floor of the house. This area is now in an amazing way transformed into two suites with master double beds and en suite bathrooms, all in a modern interior design.
On the first and second floor, the house is kept in the traditional style, but with high quality in any aspekt. Here, you find a livingroom, a dining room, the kitchen and 5 more rooms, sharing 3 bathrooms.
On vacation in Catalonia, the outside area has even greater importance. In this respect, Casa Nueva is an excellent choice. On one side of the house there is a gameroom with table tennis and a yard for ballgames as football and basket.
Around the corner, there is a covered terrace with a big table for dining and a barbecue. On the other side of the house, you find the swimming pool and a garden with lawn. From the beach chairs, you have an excellent view over the fields and with the Pyrenees in the background. The entrance to the poolarea is closed by a gate to protect small children.
It is placed in a forest area and has an excellent view over the landscape and with the Pyrenees in the distance. The interior is really nice, especially the entrance, with the two quite unique bedrooms in the ground floor. A house with many pretty details.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
The house which is an authentic Catalan limestone villa, modernised with respect for the original style, is situated in the Bergueda region, where the Llobregat-river winds it is way from the mountains down toward Barcelona. The house provides a perfect base for relaxation. Read a book, take a swim in the pool and enjoy the hot summer nights on the terrace with a glass of the local cava or red wine from the nearby Penedes district.
The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest, which provides excellent conditions for a variety of sports- and outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, angling, canoeing, river crafting or perhaps a visit to the owners farm.
Furthermore the central location in Catalonia makes every corner of province accessible in one-day excursions. From the Dali-museum in the north, the Costa Brava coastline and Barcelona in the south and further south Tarragon with its amphitheatre and universal studios amusement park for the kids. A generous and cosy region, with true cultural, gastronomical, artistic, historical, traditional and legendary treasures. Also a region for the playful who loves sport activities.
In the winther, the ski-resorts in Andorra and the Pyrenees is only a 45 minutes drive away. In the summer you can enjoy the tracks of the Pyrenees or for the adventures paragliding or climbing. The spring (march-may) in Catalonia is sunny, green and comfortable warm. The daily temp. reaches 16-22 degrees.
The autumn (Sep.-Nov) is very warm in the beginning (Sep.) with a daily average temp. reaching 27 degrees. October and November has an average temp. starting at 22 in October ending with 17 in November.
Bergueda area
The main towns in the region: Casseres: 3 km. from Casa Nueva. A small village, with a few bars, a few small grocery shops and a restaurant. The old part of the village, behind the church is really pretty.
Gironella: 6 km from Casa Nueva. A cosy little town at the bank of the river Llobregat. We provide a map of shops, restaurants etc.
Berga:10 km. from Casa Nueva. Quite a large town on the edge of the Pyrenees, where you’ll find big supermarkets, really nice restaurants, shopping areas, and bars. It is also a very pretty town with many really good sites.
Manresa: 30 km. from Casa Nueva The largest nearby town with 66.879 inh. By experiencing the history of Manresa, you will also experience the history of Cataloniaas they both coincided in their moments of greatest splendour. Manresais a town which has been shaped by its three most intense historic moments: the might of Gothicism with its cathedral La Seu, the splendour of the Baroque with Saint Ignatius¿ sanctuary La Cova and the brilliance of modernism along its main boulevard Passeig Pere III.
Vic:40 km from Casa Nueva: A beautiful maintained historical town., also mentioned as the most Catalan town in Catalonia. Traditional Market on the Main Square: every Tuesday and Saturday in the morning (10-14) (See photo J) The town has plenty of discothèques and bars that the young ones can attend.
Barcelona, Girona and Costa Brava is all situated around 100 km. from the house. We are willing to pass on our tips regarding these cities if you should be interested.
