This beautifully restored stone house is believed to be dated from the 12th century. All rooms have been tastefully decorated. It is French in style, but with all mod cons, including WIFI and Sky TV. There is a large living room with original fireplace ideal for relaxing around later in the evening.

The well equipped kitchen contains a ceramic hob with a fan-assisted oven as well as an American fridge and dishwasher.

There is a patio area outside with full dining facilities and steps lead up from here to the pool area. As well as providing an area to relax this is also ideal for dining in the early evening, as the sun goes down. The house situated on a large plot, providing much privacy as well as plenty of space for children to run and play.

There is a local shop within the local village a short walk away. However the house is situated within easy access of many beautiful villages, such as Issigeac, Beaumont, and Villereal; which all have fabulous markets.

A short walk from the house are acres of beautiful fields that lead down to a small river. Here you can walk for miles, take a picnic or a book and experience absolute tranquility.

It is truly a relaxing feeling to stay here, where the only sounds are the birds and the clinking of glasses.

An extra 'Z' bed can be provided on request for a fifth person or child.

The two bedrooms upstairs are light and airy, with one overlooking the swimming pool and garden. There is a bathroom with a roll-top bath and shower attachments which has a tiled floor. There is wireless internet access available.

Downstairs lends itself as a large open living room connected to a kitchen just next door via an open doorway. The underfloor heating and the open fireplace make this area cozy during the evening and there is access to a TV with Satellite and DVD player as well as a range of board games and a good selection of books, or if you have a laptop, browse the internet.

Upstairs there is one bedroom that overlooks the swimming pool and a second bedroom that has views that extend for miles across beautiful countryside.

The bathroom has a roll-top bath and is tastefully decorated to a style in keeping with the house.

The adjoining house is also available for rent and has a similar amount of space, two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, separate WC, log fire and large living room. Please email for photographs and rental fees. This is ideal when two families want to stay in the same area, as both properties can sleep up to 10. There is a private pool for exclusive use for rentals.

Bergerac is warm from March/April onwards, becoming much hotter during July and August.

Bergerac is also a fantastic place to be during the winter months, offering long, bracing walks and long evenings by the log fire.


Local activities include canoeing, go-carting, wine-tasting, walking, and cycling.

There is a Sunday market in Issigeac as well as many market days throughout the summer in local surrounding areas.

A lovely golf course is just a twenty minute drive away,and if you are feeling more adventurous,challenging activities such as high wires and paint-balling are within a short drive away.
