About the home

A VERY FRENCH GITE/APARTMENT IN THE WINE GROWING REGIONS......THE property is in the typical style of the perigueux, set in an acre of grassland and fruit trees, in almost seclusion, views to three sides of rolling farm land as far as the eye can see.
Only 5 minutes drive to the 13th century Bastide town of Castillonnes with all its facilitys for shoping, banking, Restaurants and Bars and a very good weekly Tuesday market.
The medevil town of Issegeac is only 10 minutes drive away with its fantastic architecture, Restaurants and Sunday market, etc
.

Chateau-de-monbazillac is only 10 minutes driving away and is well worth a visit.

The property is in the typical style of the Perigoure, it is set in almost an acre of grassland with around 20 fruit trees.
A swimming pool that has all day sunlight (when available) also offers privacy. Two terraces one poolside one front of Gite/Apartment ideal for those balmey evenings. A lovely wishing well adds to the ambiance of the front garden area. There is ample parking which is situated at the top of the driveway and will accommodate 4/5 vehicles.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

Visit the world famous Chateau Montbazillac just a ten minute drive away and taste their wines. The French tabaco capital Bergerac is well worth a visit and is only 25 minutes drive, great shops and restaurants and the Dordogne river.

The Bergerac / Castillonnes, Bergerac area

Castillonnes is only 5 mins drive from the house and has Banks, Restaurants, bars, petrol station, supermarkets, making it very easy to obtain fresh bread and supplies, market day is Tuesday.
Issigeac is about 15 mins drive has a fantastic market on a Sunday morning, again this town has everything you would expect from a small town.
There are many places to visit which are easily accesable, Domme, Tremolat, La Rouqe Gageac, Sarlat, Le Bugue, VilleReal, Villeneuve, Sur-Lot, Bordeaux and many more

“Peace and Quiet” Having the owners available was helpful - especially as they were friendly, Yorkshire folk. Their dog is equally friendly. The gite is very well presented and is in a peaceful location looking out over fields. The location is good for getting to all the lovely villages in the area. We would definitely recommend it to friends.

PS For information,
the pool alarm worked once we put new batteries in but it was very sensitive so kept going off, we presumed this was why the batteries were flat.
