This property has been recently renovated to retain many of the original features, it has a mezzanine with double bed and en suite shower and wc, and a bedroom downstairs with twin beds and en suite shower & wc it overlooks the large garden, with boules pitch next to the duckpond, it has a spacious salon/kitchen area (and sofa bed) with private patio and BBQ outside the french windows.
The village of Villamblard is 2 miles and boasts a variety of shops including,a bank, post office, hairdressers, grocers, bars, butchers and bakers. Many of the local villages have weekly markets and inexpensive restaurantst (some are English speaking)

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
There are tennis courts available in Villamblard, and plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, there are also several horse riding places nearby.
Throughout July and August many of the local villages hold marche nocturnes an ideal way to dine al-fresco when the streets are closed to traffic and the whole village joins in eating, and drinking local produce and wine maybe some dancing, and craft stalls
Bergerac / Villamblard area
Throughout this area there are many picturesque and historic towns and villages, chateaux, and pre-historic sites to visit.
Canoeing is a great way to pass a day, there are several slow winding rivers to choose from where you can see wildlife , maybe be stop for an ice cream and a swim, boat trips are avaliable for the more relaxed among you try the local wines Bergerac, Percharment and Monbazillac only made in this small region around Bergerac and quite unique.

Further details indoors: There is a fridge freezer (for any extras) and a washing machine available in the cabanna, next to the cottage, along with table tennis, small snooker table, bats & balls. pushbikes are available f.o.c. The shared solar heated 9m x 4m pool has easy access full width steps ,and is the same depth , it is set to the side of the cottage with stunning viws of the surrounding countryside
Further details outdoors: We have a wide variety of animals around, horses, donkeys, dogs, chickens and ducks that will be pleased to see you, you are very welcome to help us feed them and look after them, collect eggs etc, Any surplus eggs , vegetables and fruit is given to guests or if you prefer you can pick your own;
Conditions
We usually book saturday to saturday, but try and accommodate other days if possible 25% of cost payable on booking with the remainder 6 weeks before your holiday We ask you to depart by 10.00am on your last day, you can arrive at any time on your first day and use the pool and garden, but the cottage may not be available until 3.00pm
