On the edge of a sleepy country village, just 4 kms from the medieval village of Issigeac, lies this superb, recently renovated, house surrounded by gracious parkland with private pool & diving board. French windows lead you into a well equipped kitchen, dining room and sun filled sitting room. Through a corridor you have access to the television room, master bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms (2 x 2 singles and 1 x double) with wardrobes and a bathroom. A wonderful wisteria covered, raised terrace, running the full length of the house offers the most striking views and the opportunity to catch the most spectacular sunsets whilst drinking your apperitifs.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
In the bastide country, on the edge of the lot et gardonnde and in the heart of the dordogne châteaux region offering discovery, arts and culture. On your doorstep the medieval village of Issigeac with the fabulous Sunday market including the basket market and flower market. Further away (2 hours drive) the beautiful city of Bordeaux, now offering a park and tram, where you can meander through the old streets leading from « les quais » up to the main shopping area.
Another beautiful city (2 hours drive) is the pink city of Toulouse where you can sit and watch the weddings on a Saturday morning from one of the many cafés in the Place du Theatre then enjoy a walk along the canal de midi.
Agen (about 1 hour), another busy city, with many shopping facilities also offers the « Walabi » aqua centre which is great fun for all the family on a hot day.
You can find some super exclusive little shops in Perigueux (about 45 mins) or just sit out on the of the many hidden squares, enjoy a café au lait and watch the world go by
Closer to home are other bastide towns including Monflanquin with the medieval festival, Monpazier winner of the most attractive bastide town award and
Bergerac / Issigeac area
Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to go. Canoeing, golf, tennis, bowling, night clubs, bodegas, local bars, horse riding, tree swinging and much more for the ‘sportifs’. Prehistoric caves, caves, museums, concerts, cinemas, art exhibitions, châteaux, local theme markets, night markets and many more for the ’relax’ From Lascaux (the most famous cave paintings) to the Windsor (one of the biggest night clubs in the region) all can be found in the area.
How to get there
Flights to Bergerac airport only 15mins from house, TGV to Libourne station 1 1/2 hours, cheap flights to Bordeaux less than 2 hours. Plenty of car hire companies at Bergerac including the big name companies and, upon request, smaller delivery companies.
