Situated on the edge of the village of Sadillac, 5 km to the south of Chateau de Monbazillac, and the less famous, but more beautiful Chateau de Bridoire. Chateau de Sadillac is only 15 km from Bergerac and the Dordogne river, superbly situated to explore the countryside, wine, food and history of South West France.
The Chateau has a private 9 hole golfcourse, with an attractive lake, set in 8 acres of undulating fairways. It is a compact par 27 approach course ideal for improving one's game or for the ambitious beginner.

A large swimming pool with roman-end and terrace, surrounded by laurel hedge for maximum privacy. A Sauna, changing room, shower and toilet are situated in the pool complex. Through your private bar you enter the terraces with garden furniture, playground for the children with table tennis, chess game, swing, baby football and trampoline. There are 6 luxury bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, huge fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room and a bar.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

The Dordogne and the Vézère rivers offer either tranquil, or exciting canoeing. There is a riding stable very close to us, near the Chateau de Bridoire and there are masses of roads and tracks to walk or bicycle on.

The beautiful region of the Dordogne is a land of sheltered valleys and woods, rivers, farms producing Foie Gras, vineyards, medieval towns and villages and chateau. It is the country of truffles and walnut oil, with an immensely rich tradition of cookery, and within a reasonable distance there are many restaurants, from the simple to the gastronomic.

Bergerac / Monbazillac area

Our main town is Bergerac, with its lovely medieval port, still with its quays, beautiful bridge and timbered warehouses in the old quartier. It is also the bustling shopping centre for a large region and has excellent shops, restaurants, supermarkets, a large country market on Wednesday and Saturday and many attractions for visitors. The bastide towns of Eymet, Villeréal, Monpazier and Monflanquin are well worth visiting.

Fly to Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges or Toulouse - Chateau de Sadillac is just 15 km from Bergerac Airport.
Cheap flights available from Ryanair, Flybe, BMI, Jet2 to Bergerac,Limoges, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 35 euros.

Bedroom 1: On the first floor overlooking the court-yard, spacious room with a four poster bed (1.80*2.00 meters), a seat and adjoining bathroom with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet.

Bedroom 2: On the second floor overlooking the golf course and the courtyard it is the largest room. Furnished with a huge four poster bed, a cozy nook and adjoining bathroom in the tower with a shower, wash basin and toilet. On the mezzanine floor is an antique French bed (1.10*1.90 meters) for an adult or a child.

Bedroom 3, 4 and 5: Also on the second floor, overlooking the golf-course, more or less identical rooms with a double bed (1.80*2.00 meters) and wash basin. These rooms are sharing one big shower room with a wash basin and a separate toilet.

Bedroom 6: On the ground floor, furnished with a four poster bed (1.80*2.00 meters), a seat and in the adjoining tower a bathroom with a shower, wash basin and toilet. This room has its own entrance and terrace.

All the beds have separate mattresses (0.90*2.00 meters)

For the keen golfer several other golf courses are within easy reach, for instance the famous championship course at Chateau de Vigiers (18 hole par 72). Other golf courses in the neighbor-hood are the Golf and country club Villeneuve (18 hole par 72, 9 hole par 31). Chateau Les Merles (9 hole par 36).
