Situated between the medieval Bastide towns of Eymet, Castilonnes, Issegac and Villereal, Lalandusse is perched on a hill with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The village has its own restaurant / bar.
It is about 10 mins walk or 5 mins by bike (provided free) from Gaubide.

The house is fully modernised to a high standard and is full of character with large oak beams, red tiled floors, stone walls and an open fire place.

Besides the country walks and relaxing by the pool ,every day and evening throughout the summer there are local markets and festivals to visit. We also have a comprehensive list of theme parks, castles, restaurants and horse riding stables for the more adventurous.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

Situated on the borders of the Dordogne and the Lot et Garonne, The British have been in love with this area since Elenor of Aquitaine married King Henry the 2nd.The country side is little like Devon except with sunshine and no traffic and of course full of French restaurants and wine.

Besides being famous for its food and wine, there are the prehistoric caves, Castles and Chateaux.
Other activies include; canoeing down the Dordogne, Golfing, theme parks for the whole family, visiting Aquariums, and most importantly relaxing by the pool drinking wine and doing nothing.

Bergerac / Eymet area

Eymet and most of the local towns where created during the 100 year war.
They usually have large open Medieaval squares surrounded by shops and Restaurants
There are markets and festivals most days of the week throuhout the summer.
Eymet has a large market on thursday, and a night market on Tuesday (which is more like a street party ) It is a favourate place to go and eat sea-food or the local delicousy Duck washed down with some local wine.

How to get there

Lalandusse is 15 mins south of Bergerac Airport, with Airlines Ryanair and Flybe , flighing from most parts of Uk. Bordeaux and Toulouse are just over 1 hours drive.All airpots have the normal car hire companies.

St malo is the nearest port, about 6 hours drive due south to Bordeaux, then take the Motorway to Toulouse, turn of at Marmande and head north to Eymet on the D933, Lalandusse is about 5 miles right of Eymet.
