Just 10 minutes from St. Foy La Grande and approximately 15 minutes from Bergerac Town, Les Noyers is set in 5 acres of flat, mature gardens with private river frontage onto the Dordogne. The Gite, which forms part of the main house, is on two floors and has its own private entrance, parking and an outside eating area with Bar-B-Q. The swimming pool is fully fenced in accordance with French Law for the safety of our visitors and is for your exclusive use during your stay.

The Dordogne area, with its beautiful Bastide Towns, which are steeped in history is the perfect place to unwind. The local vineyards welcome visitors and are always happy to provide the "petite degustation". So whether your preference is history and culture, food and fine wines, or just simply taking in the whole ambience of our lifestyle, it's all here in abundance.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

Springtime in the Dordogne brings warm weather from around March/April gradually becoming hotter as the year progresses.

Visits to the local vineyards are a must for the wine buff especially the town of St. Emilion some 30 minutes away. St. Emillion, a Unesco World heritage site, is not only famous for wine but also has a wonderful subterranean pottery museum spanning 20 centuries of history and has many other historic buildings to see.

Bordeaux is about an hour away and is a major international city which also enjoys the status of being a Unesco Heritage Site.

The coast, Basin d'Arcachon, is under 2 hours away.

Bergerac / Ste Foy la Grande area

Canoeing, go-carting, water park and paint-balling are just some of the activities which can be found within 20 minutes of our property. Both Bergerac and St. Foy la Grande have very good markets on Saturdays and there are numerous other markets in the surrounding areas.

The surrounding towns and villages have fetes and special events all through the year which are widely advertised encouraging locals and visitors alike to attend and sample the local culture.

There are several "Lacs" which are freshwater lakes with man-made sandy beaches for swimming, water sports and nature walks within easy reach.

How to get there

N.B. Ryanair now flying Luton to Bergerac from end of March 2009

Ryanair and Flybe flights are available from many UK regional airports to Bergerac Airport which is approximately 30 minutes from property. Easyjet and British Airways also fly to Bordeaux which is approximately 1 hour from property. Ryanair also fly into Limoges which is 2 hours drive from the property. Car rental is available at all airports and is easily found on the internet.

Conditions

* The property is on two levels with bedrooms and bathroom facilities on the first floor so there are some stairs to negotiate.

* Strictly no smoking inside the property.

* Refundable breakage deposit of £150.00 required on arrival to be refunded within ten days of your departure (subject to satisfactory joint property inspection where possible.)

* 25% of rental payable on booking with balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
