The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
One and a half hours drive from Bordeaux, excellent wine and Chateau region. Weather is very warm in the summer sometimes reaching as high as 35 degrees. The river Dordogne goes through Bergerac and you can take boat rides or paddle canoes.

Many summer festivals such as music, food and local fetes. Bergerac has a local farmers market twice a week, many vin yards to see and taste the produce. Horse riding, cycling,walking,superb retaurants
