About the home
Caminade comprises on one level an entrance hall leading to the , kitchen/lounge, 2 double bedrooms, both en-suite. Terrace at the rear of the gite over looking the countryside. A heated swimming pool at the front of the gite completely private. To the rear of property within 100 yards is a small lake belonging to Caminade containing some large carp.
Dave & I live on site but the pool and gite area is for the total use of the gite clients. We are available at all time for any problems you may have or to point you in the right direction for attractions, local markets or restaurants to eat at.
Caminade is in a prime position for wine tasting with many chateaux and St Emilion a short drive to the west. If you just wish to relax by the pool or visit the Lake de Gurcon just a 10 minute car drive away or may be you require a more energetic holiday with horse riding school as neighbours, a 2 minutes walk away, canoeing on the river Dordogne, tennis, bike riding etc.... all within easy reach.

The heated swimming pool is situated at the front of the property and is completely private for the full use of the gite and over looks the countryside.
The Lake: is to the rear of the property and has recently been stocked with a number of large Carp.
Conditions
To book your holiday week or weeks a 50% non-refundable deposit is required with the remainder 50% to be paid six weeks before arrival. Monies can be paid in Pounds or Euros. A 200 Euros cash deposit will be required on arrival to cover for damages or breakages, this will be refunded on departure if no breakages have occurred.
All electric and gas costs are included.
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring beach towels for sitting by the pool.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Looking for a French holiday why not decide on the Dordogne, Aquitaine area of the south west region of France. A beautiful area of France with peaceful countryside, vine fields rolling over the hillsides, fresh food grown locally and long walks beside the river Dordogne.
The Bergerac / Ste Foy la Grande area
St Meard de Gurcon, the nearest village, is a 5 minute car ride away and you have all the amenities shops, bars etc., a 15 minute car ride away at Montpon Menestrel.
Local restaurants provide excellent cuisine and a fine selection of wines for you to enjoy. Also there are plenty of activities in the area, horse riding, golf, fishing, swimming, bike riding, go karting.

We shared with two friends and had a fantastic holiday !! The place was bright, clean and airy, and the family were really friendly and helpful - all except 'Grumpy Cat' who was quite a character, and dear Poppy - what a wonderful dog. A very good base for touring and plenty of room (both sun and shade) It was very well equipped and would reccomend it. We would dearly love to return but it is a long drive - and I am not getting any younger. |

We stayed at Caminade for 2 weeks at the end of July and had a lovely holiday. The Gite is comfortable and has all the facilities you need. We found the location excellent as, although the Gite is out in the middle of nowhere the road links are nearby making it easy to explore the area. We took our dog and found the area particularly good for dog-walking, with open fields all around. All in all a great little Gite for a couple or a small family with the added bonus of the owners being on hand to offer information and a really nice pool. |

Out of season I am more than happy to let from either Wednesday or Sundays
To book a week or weeks a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the period. The remainder of the money will be due 6 weeks before arrival. Payment can be made in Pounds or Euros by bank transfer, Cheque or Paypal. Further information will be given when booking.
On arrvial at Caminade a 200 euro deposit will be required against breakages etc., and will be refunded at the end of your holiday.
Long lets will be considered through the 6 month winter period from October 2009 to March 2010 - rates are available if you contact me by e mail or phone
